From its beautiful hillside location above Gaios, the stylish Villa Alexandros enjoys spectacular views over the olive trees and across the sea to the Greek mainland. There are a couple of tavernas and a mini-market within walking distance, and Gaios, with its wide selection of bars, tavernas, shops and other facilities, is just a five-minute drive.
Built in the local style, the single-storey villa has a bright and airy interior, with traditional wooden vaulted ceilings and stylish modern furnishings. There is a cool, well-furnished living/dining room with patio doors that maximise the views and open on to covered terraces on two sides, and a well-equipped open kitchen. There are two spacious bedrooms, a twin and a double, both of which have air-conditioning, and a separate shower room.
The villa is surrounded by olive trees and flagged terraces furnished with comfortable seating, umbrellas and sun loungers; there is also a barbecue. There are superb views from the swimming pool area as well as from the additional seating area located just below the pool.
Villa Alexandros is an excellent base from which to explore Paxos. Several of the best beaches are less than a 10-minute drive with others only slightly further afield, and the villages of Loggos and Lakka can be reached in 15 minutes. It is in a good area for walkers, who have easy access to the network of footpaths leading to the wilder west side of the island, with its high cliffs and spectacular rock formations, as well as to several paths leading down to Gaios and the east coast.
For larger groups Villa Alexandros can be combined with the adjacent Villa Daniella.
