This beautiful and characteristic holiday apartment, part of a two-family house with common pool, has once been a monastery and is situated in an idyllic position in the middle of wine yards and olive groves, not far away from the famous Chianti. The holiday accommodation offers a silent position and a nice view over the country side and enables you to easily reach San Gimignano (16 km), Volterra (38 km), Florence (42 km), Siena (40 km) and the Chianti area (abt. 24 km). The surroundings are ideal for walking and biking with your mountain bike. Do not miss to organize a wine tasting in one of the famous wine cellars which produce the “Super Tuscan” wines: here you will taste some of the excellent, local wines and visit interesting wine cellars. Some summer events: the famous Palio (an antique horse race: July – August), the lyric season in San Gimignano (August), the medieval festival in Monteriggioni (July) and the “Mercantia”, another beautiful, medieval festival, this time in Certaldo.
