--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The cave house consists of 3 bedrooms, a double and a twin, both have ample storage facilities. There is a very cosy snug room that can very comfortably sleep another person. A nicely sized, well equipped kitchen diner has been added on to the cave along with a modern shower room . The cool but cosy lounge has a log fire to take the chill off during the depths of winter but during the summer it is welcome retreat from the heat during the day. Central to the cave is the games / reading room, well equipped with a CD/ radio / ipod station, the acoustics are excellent in the cave. Also there is a good supply of books and DVDs.

Directly outside the front door is a good sized, walled private patio with table, chairs and BBQ . Just above the cave is another terrace where you can sit and enjoy the uninterrupted panoramic views of Baza and the Altiplano beyond

We bought the property in November 2010 , as soon as we saw the panoramic view of Baza and the altiplano beyond ,we knew we had to have it. So we sold up in the Algarve and left the sea view for mountain living in the Sierra de Baza. Wild horses would not drag us away now. The property consists of our ' cortijo ' farmhouse and 2 caves, one is still waiting to be reformed. We still remain part of the Baza co-operative selling the many almonds and olives we grow here. We do intend to make more of our farmland during the next few years. At the moment the only livestock we have is chickens and Big George the rooster, if you feed them they may be kind enough to leave you a few free range eggs now and again. At the back of the property is miles of unspoilt countryside you could walk for days. We are at the end of the road here so we have no passing traffic.

Although we live on the same grounds we respect peoples privacy but should you wish to join us for a glass of Tinto verano or cerveza we are always glad to share our experiences of the area and to listen to details of your day, we still feel relatively newbies to this area as there is so much to discover.

We are both children and pet friendly and should either need looking after whilst you enjoy time to yourselves, subject to availability, we are only to glad to look after them, for a small fee.

The beauty of living here is the rural atmosphere, the majority of the time you can only hear the birds and the distant church bells but we are still close enough to easily walk down to the town centre with it's wealth of friendly people and it's typical Spanish streets, shops and tapas bars. Not forgetting the excellent busy market which is held on a Wednesday morning
