Description

Occupying the most sought-after position of all of our villas, La Villa Bleue inhabits a magical world all of its own where guests are just steps away the crystal clear, turquoise waters of the Adriatic, softly lapping against the smooth pebbles of the oh-so-quiet beach, against the backdrop of untamed agave plants and a chorus of cicadas. La Villa Bleue is a fabulous option for those who understand luxury to mean seclusion, privacy, and immersion in nature. A stay at this remarkable villa will live long in the memory.

Only those who really want a slice of true, quiet paradise will make it here. That is because La Villa Bleue is in a secluded bay of Hvar island’s southern coast, accessible via a 4km/2.5-mile gravel road that winds its way down to the sea. The bay is home only to a handful of houses. Serenity and privacy combine here to create one truly special spot.

The combination of the gravel road and the faraway location serves to ensure the three pristine beaches of this special bay stay quiet and peaceful, even during summer’s peak.

Two complimentary SUP boards and a hard kayak await to aid you in exploring the surrounding hidden coves only accessible by water.

For boating aficionados, contact us to arrange a charter that can be moored in front of the villa.

INSIDE

La Villa Bleue’s architecture pays homage to its historic Dalmatian roots while the selective interior design keeps it modern with high quality furnishing and a few quirky vintage pieces. Accommodation at the villa is laid out over three levels. The main entrance door is accessed via the lower dining terrace facing the sea, meaning that you’ll already be awestruck by the location before you’ve stepped into the house. The front door leads immediately into a welcoming open-plan dining room, with a well-equipped kitchen behind, off of which the rest of the accommodation flows. The bright walls, sleek ceramic flooring, and blend of contemporary and vintage touches provide a blueprint for the rest of the house.

Down a few steps is the comfortable living area, with a large, well-cushioned corner sofa and armchair looking towards a smart TV with Netflix. For those who prefer a different kind of entertainment, the living room window provides a captivating view where the sea seems so close, you may begin to question whether you are in a house or on a boat.

On the other side of the dining area, a hallway leads to the first double bedroom which, like all four bedrooms, is equipped with a queen size bed and its own air conditioning. Next to the bedroom, the ground floor bathroom with a walk-in shower.

A staircase leads up to the first floor, which is entirely given over to two bedrooms, which share a bathroom. The master bedroom has direct access to the upper terrace, home to three sun loungers, and the perfect place to catch the sun’s rays while gazing out at your incredible surroundings.

The third floor of La Villa Bleue is accessed via an external staircase that leads up from the upper terrace, which can also be accessed independently from the terrace at the rear of the house. This level comprises the fourth and final bedroom, which contains a queen bed and a single bed, and is equipped with an en-suite shower room.

OUTSIDE

La Villa Bleue is exceedingly generous when it comes to al fresco living. Terraces fan out from both floors, and no matter where you are, you’ll always have a sea-view spot in which to while away the time.

Running along the stone façade at the front of the house is the main terrace that offers plenty of options for sitting, lounging, and dining. Grape vines whisper in the gentle sea breezes, mature pines scent the air, and views pan out over the cobalt blue waters to a distant peninsula.

The master bedroom on the first floor flows out directly onto the panoramic upper terrace that looks out to sea – the perfect place for morning coffee.

Steps lead up from the villa's private parking area to the outdoor kitchen, which is served by a traditional stone barbecue, a wood-burning pizza oven, and a sink and worktop. This is where you'll be able to prepare and indulge in some lazy lunches and convivial times under the stars.

Aside from excellent konobas dotted along the coastline most easily accessed by boat, there are several other dining options in the locality within 5 to 10-minute drives from the top of the gravel road, and of course further afield.
