Description

Situated away from the coast, Casa Borratta offers a peaceful setting where you can truly relax, away from the hustle-bustle of tourist towns, as well as busy day to day lives. Llucmacanes is a picturesque, typical Menorcan village, giving guests the chance to enjoy an authentic Menorcan setting, yet the capital town of Mahon, with its beautiful natural harbour and promenade with a variety of bars, restaurants and souvenir shops is less than 10-minutes away by car.

The villa itself boasts bright, modern interiors with tasteful furnishings throughout. Blending the rustic charm of the building with simple and sophisticated decoration, Casa Borratta sets the scene for relaxed family holidays.

On the ground floor, the entrance hall leads the way through the villa, offering glimpses through to the terrace beyond. A cosy lounge, with a television and sofas, gives guests the chance to curl up and relax, taking a break from the hot sun, or enjoying a night in as a family.

The dining room similarly offers a welcoming feel, with a large stylish table that accommodates eight guests, perfect for long evening meals as a group. The adjacent kitchen is spacious and bright, with a breakfast table that encourages everyone to gather around as meals and picnics are prepared and with ample room for several guests to cook together!

The bedrooms are spread over both floors, with three twin rooms on the ground floor and two twin rooms upstairs. The first of the upstairs rooms enjoys a small, romantic balcony, whilst the second boasts a modern en-suite bathroom. The rest of the bedrooms all share a large family bathroom on the ground floor.

Stepping outside, the magic of this property comes to life, with a large swimming pool, bordered by a beautiful sunbathing terrace and colourful flower beds. With a stone-built barbecue and space for al-fresco dining, sometimes there seems little reason to head back inside!

Casa Borratta offers you an oasis of calm, with a second terrace next to the kitchen, you can enjoy time as a group as well as peaceful moments alone or as a couple, creating unforgettable holiday memories!

#### Location
The Balearic island of Menorca is the quieter, unspoilt version of its big sisters Majorca and Ibiza.

While it is partly known for its traditional summer fiestas, which take place in different towns around the island all summer long (with origins dating back to the 14th century!), it's really the place for those who enjoy a calmer, slower pace of life.

Aside from its traditional fiestas, Menorca is better visited for its white-sand bays such as Pregonda and Cala Macarella, clear, turquoise water and more gentle activities like walking, cycling or horse-riding. With a coastline punctuated by beautiful coves and a landscape awarded the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status, strewn with ancient stone monuments and an estimated 70,000km of dry-stone walls, this is an island for the nature lovers, and anyone looking for a little rest and relaxation.

Serene and typically Menorcan, the village of Llucmacanes with its whitewashed farmhouses and village church can be considered a sleepy, but enchanting offering.

Enveloped by pretty countryside, vineyards and wild olive trees, this is an area to enjoy nature at its best. Walking or cycling along country lanes, spotting typical dry stone walls and subtle but beautiful flora and fauna, it's a picture-perfect scene. You may also come across the Basilica des Fornas de Torello nearby - the remains of an old Roman church with faded but fascinating mosaics.

There's a local shop in the town, but if you require something more, Llucmacanes is perfectly located to reach the capital, Mahon, the lovely town of San Luis or San Clemente - all of which have fantastic bars, cafes and restaurants.
