OVERVIEW

Villa Virago offers guests both style and comfort having recently been totally refurbished. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a variety of living areas and 800sqm of walled gardens. The private swimming pool offers a huge wraparound wooden pool deck and, uniquely, the villa also offers access to a small private, gated beach (shared between just 14 houses on the street) just 100 metres from the front door as well as having the public beach of Perd'e Sali just a few more metres away.

The villa is especially suitable for families with children and we provide a range of equipment and special measures to ensure peace of mind for parents and fun for the kids. More information is available below in the "Families with Children" section

INSIDE

Open plan living and kitchen area. The kitchen is newly fitted and modern, with poured concrete countertops and sleek white units. It is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric fan oven, gas hob, kettle and blender and the glassware and crockery is all beautiful vintage. There is a marble topped floating island on wheels which also doubles as a dining table for up to 6 people as well as an extendable dining table that can comfortably seat 12-14 people.

The main living room is centered around the open fireplace and has seating for 8 people, and there are also 4 super comfy beanbags for additional seating. The TV nook is located under the stairs and offers a quiet corner with a TV and X-box on which you can watch the large library of DVD's we provide or play one of the games.

The main living area has double doors to both the front garden and the rear living terrace and pool area.

Also downstairs are two twin bedrooms which share a sleek, modern shower room. One bedroom has double doors to the back garden and the other has double doors to a private covered terrace framed by climbing jasmine plants.

UPSTAIRS

Up the impressive spiral staircase, the first floor offers a small living area with access to a large balcony and a master bedroom with access to the same balcony. There are also two other double bedrooms and two brand new luxury bathrooms, both with large walk-in showers and double sinks.

OUTSIDE

The 800sqm of garden is fully fenced in making it safe for children of all ages, and boasts a private swimming pool (8x4x1.25m) and a huge wooden pool deck. The swimming pool is fitted with a pool alarm to give guests with small children additional peace of mind. The pool deck is furnished with XXL beanbags as well as a four poster bed for you to relax and unwind on. An olive tree grows up through the pool deck to offer shade and the jasmine growing at the far end of the pool perfumes the air

There is an outdoor covered living terrace by the pool which offers a sofa and armchairs and is the perfect spot for relaxing in the shade.

The garden also offers lawned areas and plenty of mature trees (figs, oranges, lemons, citron, almond, date palm, olive and carob to name a few).The barbeque and outdoor food preparation area has a sink and large double grills and is shaded by a large fig tree.There is also a shaded outdoor eating area surrounded by white bougainvillea and jasmine for up to 14 people and, on the pool deck, a solar al fresco shower with hot and cold water.

There is a separate laundry room in the garden with a washing machine and an additional full-sized fridge/freezer

LOCATION

The villa is at the end of a closed street meaning there is no passing traffic and as well as a parking space inside the villa gates, there's plenty more parking spaces on the road outside. The marina is less than a 10 minute walk away and offers a restaurant, coffee bar, tobacconists, scuba centre, kayak and boat hire. The beach is just 100 from the front door and the buzzing town of Pula is just 4.5km away

THE DECOR

We believe in recycling and love picking up, refurbishing and repurposing fleamarket finds to make the décor at the villa funky and unique. From the spice rack made from old test tubes to bedside lamps made from wagon axles, pictures made from vintage photographs and chairs covered in découpage we're sure you will love the way our quirky finds mix with the polished concrete floors, white walls and sleek lines of the villa

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

We have worked hard to make the villa a fun, relaxing place to be and know you will love your stay here. However, we also know that it can often be the little extras that make a holiday truly special so have included the following services as standard for all bookings:

Welcome Book - Our insiders guide to the villa and local area. Everything you could possibly need from where to find the fuse box to restaurant recommendations to ensure you have a fun, trouble free stay

Welcome pack - A complimentary glass of prosecco to sip as we show you around and a basket of fruit to welcome you and say "thank you" for choosing Villa Virago. We also supply less glamorous (but more essential) items such as a stock of loo roll, bin bags, dishwasher tablets, oil and spices and cleaning products.

Towels and linen - We supply all towels and linen clean when you arrive, and for stays of two weeks or more we will automatically change them for you weekly. We also supply both beach towels and pool towels because we know your baggage allowance is both limited and precious!

Cleaning - Final cleaning is included in the price, and for bookings of two weeks or more we also include a weekly clean.

24 hour assistance - We'll be in the local area and on hand at any time for advice or emergencies

We also have a host of additional services we're happy to supply for you on request at a nominal charge

Fridge stocking - just send us a shopping list and we'll make sure the kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials you need to create delicious meals. Especially handy for those arriving late and not able to get to their shops on their first day, or for anyone whose holiday time is too precious to be spent in the supermarket! Whether you use this as a one-off service or would like us to deliver more often we're happy to help. Or maybe you'd like to order a chilled bottle of champagne and a bunch of roses for a special someone to find on arrival. If it can be sourced in Sardinia, we'll make it happen

Additional linen changes - if you would like your sheets or towels changed more often during your stay, this can be arranged

Additional cleaning - if your holiday time is too precious to be spent mopping floors, we're happy to send in our cleaners for you as often as required

Chef - We know some great local chefs and would be happy to put you in touch with them directly. Whether you want three meals a day prepared and served for you, or just a one-off dinner, they are friendly, versatile, multi-lingual and make extremely good food

Masseur and beauty treatments - We also know some great local masseurs and beauticians happy to pay house calls and pamper you by the pool

FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN

We know how important your peace of mind is when travelling with little ones so we've done our best to make sure families with children can enjoy a fun, relaxing holiday here at Villa Virago. Some of the equipment and facilities we offer on request and the measures we've taken are listed below, but please don't hesitate to contact us if there's anything else we can do for you to ensure you have the best of stays with your family.

The garden is fully walled and gated

We've removed any toxic plants (such as oleander) and cacti

The swimming pool has an alarm, available on request

The local beach is sandy with shallow water, making it perfect for children

We can supply cots, high chairs, baby monitors, a baby bath, bottle sterilisers, a bumbo, stair gates, bed rails, a potty, a paddling pool, a selection of toys and a pram on request

To help you stick to your baggage allowances we're happy to shop prior to your arrival and stock the villa with everything from nappies to your favourite brand of baby food. Just ask us for more details

An Xbox with a selection of non-violent games is supplied at the villa, and can also be used to play the U-rated DVD's we provide
