The Old Laundry at Bridge Cottage is a charming stone cottage which is more than 300 years old and what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in history and charm! Comprising of a cosy living area, kitchenette, shower room and two bedrooms, this recently refurbished property features Fired Earth and Lefroy Brooks alongside exposed beams and flagstone floors. This delightful dog friendly holiday cottage, located on the border of Broadwell and Kencot, set across the road from a Grade II listed Norman church, it is quintessentially Cotswolds, with as many horses trotting down the road as cars on most days.

Accommodation
To make for a comfortable setting in the living area, this two-bedroom property with one king size bedroom and a twin bedroom can sleep up to two guests. Located in Broadwell near Burford, The Old Laundry is a wonderful retreat for friends and family, or ideal for a romantic getaway. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Ground Floor

Living/Dining/Kitchenette
The cosy main room on the ground floor includes a small sitting area alongside a dining table and kitchenette. There is a small sofa for lounging, watching a film or enjoying a glass of wine and while the kitchenette may not suit a three-course meal, it's perfect for breakfast and lunch or simple dinners. There is a refrigerator with freezer compartment, two burner electric hob and combination microwave/oven/grill, toaster, kettle and filtered coffee machine. The corridor also provides coat storage.

Master Bedroom (Sleeps 2)
A vaulted bedroom with a king-size bed, side tables, chest of drawers, beautiful oak floors and a stable door leading directly into the shared garden.

Shower Room
Walk-in-shower, basin and loo.

First Floor

Bedroom Two (Sleeps 2)
The second bedroom is upstairs above the sitting room with two single beds as well as another small sitting area.

Outside
The walled garden is shared with the owners of the main house and their two dogs. There is a small garden to the side of the house with a blue table and four chairs amongst the raised vegetable beds, which is available exclusively for guests of The Old Laundry to use.

The ceiling in the sitting room is low – circa 6’2’’ of clearance.  The large bedroom, corridor and shower room have high ceilings, the upstairs bedroom has plenty of headroom but is in the eaves
The cottage is in very close proximity to the house which is occupied by the owners (two adults) and their two dogs
The main house has a BBQ which can be available on request
Whilst private by virtue of being upstairs, the twin bedroom does not have a door; it is accessed via stairs up from the sitting area
Please be mindful there is a shallow stream adjacent to the property. It is separated by a low stone wall, but children should be accompanied at all times
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants
