Bockhampton Barn holds a wonderful location on the outskirts of the village of Higher Bockhampton, just a short car journey from Dorchester, the county town of Dorset. There is plenty to see, do and explore in the vibrant town which is steeped in rich history and the delightful surrounding area.

The thatched cottage has been tastefully updated and today boasts modern interiors and furnishings and all the family-friendly amenities guests could possibly need for a more than comfortable stay. The barn possesses plenty of space, comfortably accommodating up to twelve guests across its four bright bedrooms.

On arriving at the barn, guests are greeted by a spacious, open-plan living and dining room which boasts a cosy log burner, the perfect place to spend an evening snuggled up with your loved ones after a busy day spent exploring the Dorset countryside. Adjacent to the living space is the modern fitted kitchen which comes complete with all the necessary amenities a budding chef could possibly desire. Also on this level are the bedrooms, a master bedroom boasting a king-size bed and en-suite shower room and a further king-size double room with en-suite shower room. There are also two-family bedrooms, one with king-size bed and bunk beds, and the second, can either be set up as a twin or double, again with additional bunk beds, these rooms share the use of a family bathroom.

Outside, there is a private enclosed garden with dining terrace complete with barbecue, perfect for dining al fresco on a warm Summers evening. Guests of Bockhampton Barn have access to a swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts, a children's play area and a games room shared with neighbouring holiday cottages.

Bockhampton Barn is situated close to the town of Dorchester, with excellent restaurants, big name stores, museums, historical attractions and beautiful gardens there really is something for everyone. Weymouth with its beautiful beaches is just a twenty minute car journey, while Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, two of the major attractions of the famous Jurassic coastline are less than half an hour away.
