This quiet 3 bedroom bungalow with a private pool and beautiful mountain views in the heart of Karsiyaka Village, is within walking distance to a lovely local bar, which provides local and English dishes and entertainment during peek times, There is a local, 24 hours supermarket within a 20 minute stroll. However, driving is advised. There are many more shops, restaurants and beaches within a 5-10 minute drive.
Nutshell Villa, has a light and airy open plan living room with dining area, fully equipped kitchen and sliding doors leading out to a shaded patio area for alfresco dining, with additional comfortable outside seating areas situated around the 11m x 5m private swimming pool, which is secluded by a traditional Cypriot walled boundary with wrought Iron gates, which can be secured for safety.
The outside boasts; artificial grassed area, table and chairs, garden sofas, 6 sun loungers, pool side sofa, built-in barbecue, parasols, within mature gardens baring fruit trees which guest are welcome to pick when fruits are in season.
There are 3 bedrooms downstairs, with air conditioning units, one twin and two doubles. The master bedroom consist of ensuite, with ample wardrobe space, smart tv, dvd player and sliding doors to the outside patio area. Situated next to the second double bedroom is the modern family bathroom which consists of a large walk in shower, toilet and basin. There is a further toilet and sink located next to the twin bedroom. A travel cot and buggy, suitable from birth- 3years, is available for guests free of charge.
Upstairs mezzanine is ideal for a quiet reading area or office space. There is also a sink and additional fridge. Access to the outside sizeable roof terraced with table and chairs.
In the lounge area there is a smart TV and DVDs, Netflix and other streamed tv stations. Two sofas (which can be converted into sofa beds) and coffee table. Open plan dinning area, with table seating for 6, plus breakfast bar with 4 bar stools.
The kitchen is equipped with all your needs; large fridge with freezer compartment, cold drinking water unit, built in electric oven and gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle. coffee machine, sandwich toaster and juicer
Taxi transfer from Ercan airport is 30 mins and Larnaca, in the south of Cyprus, is about roughly an hour, depending on time of crossing the border from South to North. Airport transfers are available form all airports. Owners are able recommend local Taxi drivers who will assist when crossing the borders. Car hire is highly recommended and many company's offer both service.
The main resort in North Cyprus is Kyrenia (known as Girne to local Turkish Cypriots) is 25 minute drive. The harbour area, watched over by the imposing Crusader castle, is wall-to-wall restaurants and bars - a stunning sight by day, but an area that really comes into its own at night, when hungry tourists invade, eager to taste the speciality kleftiko lamb (slow roasted in the oven), or fresh-caught fish such as lagos or minerio.
North Cyprus has numerous unique historical sites to visit. Some of the remarkable places of interest in Kyrenia include the Kyrenia Castle, Kyrenia Harbour, St. Hilarion Castle and Bellapais Monastery.
From late May until late September the Alagadi Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Team often release turtles from the turtle hut on Karsiyaka beech. It is well worth logging on to their face book page to find out release days and times.
There is a well stocked supermarket 15 minute walk away to buy all essentials needed for a self catering holiday. However, with many good reasonably priced local bars, restaurants and eateries, the cooking facilities in the villa may never be needed during your stay.
