This charming mansion has five bedrooms, two sitting rooms, a pool/games room and a dining table big enough to seat your favourite people. The cosy cottage has another two bedrooms. There is 10 x 5 metre heated pool, outdoor dining table, barbecue and peaceful views over the countryside.
The main house is divided into two sections, with two kitchens. One section has two bedrooms and two bathrooms on ground floor level, and the other section has three bedrooms upstairs, with a kitchen downstairs. There is a lounge, a drawing room, and a games room with a pool table. There is also an outdoor dining table, outdoor lounge and barbecue. The pool is 10 x 5 and can be heated. There are sun loungers and sun umbrellas.
The cottage is compact but comfortable, with two bedrooms - one with a King size bed and the other with two singles - and a country-style kitchen. The lounge seating is in the main bedroom.
The WiFi is ADSL and is a reasonable speed - around 12 mbps.
The number of guests you have booked for, and whether they want single or double rooms, will determine the number of bedrooms that are made up for your use. With the exception of a couple of locked linen cupboards, everything is for your use during your stay.
Bergerac Airport is just 29 minutes away and Bordeaux Merignac Airport is 1 h 25 mins. The property is located only one kilometre from the charming village of Soumensac. There is a Marché Gourmand (Gourmet Market) held every Sunday from the beginning of July to the beginning of September. The town of Eymet is 6 kms away, Allemans-du-Dropt is 7 kms away, Miramont-de-Guyenne is 10 kms and Duras is 11 kms.
The beautiful Lake de l'Escourou is a four minute drive away. It has a good walking track around the perimeter and it is possible to rent a canoe to paddle on it.
You will need a car. There is plenty of on-site parking.
A quiet country road runs along one side of the property. There is no fencing between the lawn of the property and the road. While cars are infrequent, it may not be a suitable property for small children with no road safety awareness.
- Children are to be supervised at all times while on the property and are the responsibility of the adult guests.
- Only paying guests are permitted to use the facilities.
- No smoking inside the premises.
- No parties or large events permitted.
PLEASE NOTE: The French government requires us to collect the passport information of international visitors. You will be asked to supply this as part of the check-in procedure. The information is held securely and deleted after 6 months, according to GDPR requirements.
