Description

The modern villa "Baix des Pujol", with its exposed stonework exterior, stands amid ample lawns on an estate offering numerous options for spending relaxing hours under the blue Mediterranean sky. The outdoor area has been lovingly laid out with Mediterranean plants, and offers some delightful spots for extensive outdoor relaxation. For example, at the front of the house, on the side facing the pool, there is an inviting "porche" (covered terrace), and behind the building, on the patio (shaded in the morning), a small covered terrace. The rear area is home to the pool with wraparound terrace and sun loungers; this is also a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the unique Mediterranean light. On hot days, it is fabulously refreshing to take a dip in the cool water of the pool - and as an extra bonus, in skin-friendly salt water. The 8 x 4 m pool is tiled with pretty blue mosaic tiles and features a comfortable stepped entry. A brick-built BBQ is also available on site (on the patio); fetch yourself some culinary delights from one of the markets nearby and then prepare to treat your taste buds later in this refined atmosphere. A small path leads from the gate entrance to the private parking space next to the house; there is room for three to four cars to park, and it is in partial shade.

On entering the house, there is a beautiful entrance hall. A modern and minimalist design sets the atmosphere of the interior, which promises that all-important feel-good factor. The heart of the ground floor is the living room, with doors opening out onto the terrace. You can stretch out comfortably on one of the two cosy sofas here and lose yourself in a good book, or simply let your gaze wander into the distance through the picture window. The large flat-screen TV can aid your relaxation as pleasantly as the stylish fireplace, which provides additional cosiness, particularly on cooler evenings. The fully-equipped kitchen (with access to the patio) is next to the dining area, which can be divided off with a sliding door, and is also adjacent to the living room. As the dining table could be a little crowded for eight adults, we recommend this house for a maximum of six adults and two children. There are three bedrooms, also with access to the patio, and three bathrooms, two of which are en-suite, on this level; you will be captivated by their distinctive decor in pale colours, clean lines and subtle decoration. On the upper floor is the fourth, no less impressive bedroom with a further en-suite bathroom and access to the terrace. Three of the bedrooms have double beds (two 1.5 x 2 m, one 1.6 x 2 m) and one bedroom is furnished with two twin beds (0.9 x 2 m). An ultra-modern mosaic design greets you in each of the bathrooms, of which three have a shower and one a bathtub. The villa is equipped with air-conditioning and heating, so the temperature can be controlled to a comfortable level at any time of year.

Ariany is a small pretty town, characterized by the seven windmills in its surrounding countryside. The central location in the eastern part of the island, however, makes larger towns easily accessible, thanks, in particular, to the nearby road (about 150 m) linking Petra and Santa Margalida. The village of Petra just 3 km away, with its golden brown stone houses, is reminiscent of a sleepy town far from the hectic pace of life. You must not miss the weekly market (every Wednesday) and the little bars, cafes, and restaurants in this modest little town. Finally, one thing you must see in Ariany is the church of Nuestra Senora d'Atocha, which dates from 1570 and is dedicated to the White Madonna.
