Description

The comfortable and pleasant holiday home between Perugia and Todi allows you to explore the best of this appealing and welcoming region.

This farmhouse has been lovingly restored by its owners, who have produced a welcoming home full of charm and character. Exposed stonework and antique wood-beamed ceilings coexist with cosy furnishings, some of which are handcrafted in the area.

During the cooler months, congregate around the blazing fireplace in the downstairs salon while French windows open out to the beautiful grounds in the summer. This historic and significant home has six lovely bedrooms spread across two stories and five shower rooms.

Admire the magnificent pine trees that stand proudly in front of the villa as you gather with family and friends to dine alfresco on the terrace after preparing a feast in the wood-fired oven. Then, wander over to the pool, which is flanked by olive trees, and relax on a sun lounger or choose a shady area in the beautiful green gardens.

The villa is situated on a hillside near a wonderfully renovated borgo dating back to the Middle Ages. Visit the vineyards of Montefalco, the world's smallest theatre in Montecastello di Vibio, or the frescoes in Bevagna.

Todi and Perugia are all within half an hour's drive, as are the historical treasures of other classic Umbrian cities like Assisi, Spello, and Orvieto.

Closer to home, stroll through the Umbrian hills or check out mountain bike paths, while watersports and quad biking can be found less than an hour away at Lake Trasimeno.

Try the superb olive oil produced in the region, or spend autumn days digging for truffles in the trees that blanket this incredible region. It's no surprise that Umbria is renowned as the "Green Heart of Italy" because of its magnificent landscapes and unparalleled natural beauty.
