Description

Offering fabulous sea views from the swimming pool terrace, situated on the outskirts of Parga village, you can expect a warm welcome on arrival at Apolis Parga villa. This charming villa has a soft lemon-painted exterior, the pastel colours a nod to the Ionian Islands that share the same Ionian Sea, wtih Paxos Island, the nearest, an hours boat ride away. The villa grounds have lawns and an impressive olive tree surrounding the pool terrace with plenty of space to relax on the sun loungers and admire the views. The balcony opening out from the main sitting room offers more panoramas with the red roofs and whitewashed houses of Parga making a wonderful backdrop to the verdant green hillsides and countryside on all sides. Parga is a precious gem of a town situated on the mainland, set on the beautitul Ionian sea coastline, with three of the most stunning sandy beaches closeby, and a labyrinth of tiny streets leading down to the harbourfront, lined with harbourside restaurants, bars and shops.Smart modern decor both inside and out make an inviting atmosphere, the lounge with a chandelier, cleverly designed wood cut coffee table and traditional wooden rafters, and the kitchen perfect for light meals and snacks. Pretty twin and double bedrooms lead off from the main open plan living, dining and kitchen areas handy for those not keen on stairs, whilst patio doors open onto the balcony that overlooks the swimming pool below, with a barbecue great for cooking and dining al fresco. Not forgetting the free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, pool towels and hairdryers all on hand to make your stay as comfortable enjoyable as possible. Conveniently, there is a restaurant serving delicious breakfasts within the gated enclave of six villas, ideal for those lazy mornings when someone else doing the cooking seems a good idea and similarly a laundry service is available ( payable locally). The relaxed atmosphere both in the villa and the area in general, make it a delight to stay put and soak up the sun. On the other hand -it's only a ten minute drive to the heart of Parga town, and a delight to wander the back streets with all manner of shops on offer, boats to the nearby island of Paxos leave the port on a daily basis or catch the water taxis to Valtos beach; a wide sandy beach with water sports and tavernas for a lazy day on the beach. The region of Epirus is awash with history and natural phenomena - explore the archeological sites such as the Ancient theatre of Dodoni or the Nicropolis site, visit the beautiful Souli watermills and try the Vicos Gorge walk or along the River Acheron, one of the five rivers in Ancient Greek history that led to Hades, the underworld. The area is perfect for those looking for the "Real Greece", peaceful, historical and naturally stunning, why not try this slice of paradise?
