Description

You want to experience a slice of Mallorcan tradition? Villa "Sa Punta Ses Salines" makes it possible. This holiday home is in a rural location, surrounded by wonderful landscapes. It's the ideal holiday for families with children in particular, as there are several animals living on this villa farmhouse: dogs, cats, chickens, and pigs. The owners greet all guests with wine, water, fruit, the local pastries "Ensaimada" as well as bread and sausage they have produced themselves. Depending on the time of year, they might also give you vegetables such as sweet peppers and tomatoes. The villa is part of a giant estate and is constructed from natural stone. You can enjoy a tasty breakfast in the shade of a parasol in the courtyard. The large saltwater pool is perfect for cooling off, whilst the many surrounding sun-loungers really let you just get away from it all. To the rear of the house, there is a covered terrace where you can let you gaze drift off into the distance whilst preparing some culinary delicacies on the barbecue.

The villa's interior has also been kept very traditional and radiates Mediterranean charm. The exposed natural stone certainly draws the eye in the living-cum-dining room, whilst the visible wooden roof beams and the beautiful tiled flooring create a pleasant atmosphere. Relax in one of the many chairs – your comfort is guaranteed. In the adjoining kitchen, its traditional finish doesn't mean you have to go without convenience. There is an oven with a ceramic hob, a combi fridge-freezer and amenities such as a microwave and a coffee machine. Even the spacious corridor has a very rustic and typically Mallorcan design; emphasis here has been placed on items such as pictures, furniture or painted tiles. Your holiday home is all on one floor. There are three double rooms in total, as well as two bathrooms with a shower each. The bedrooms have been kept very simple without leaving out anything you might need. One of the two bathrooms is an en-suite, accessible from one of the double rooms.

The villa lies in between the town of Ses Salines and Colònia de Sant Jordi, formerly a fishing village. Both are only around 3 km away by car via an audible road next tot the house. This means you can quickly and easily take care of the shopping, either in the nearby supermarket in Ses Salines or at one of the two weekly markets. Every Wednesday afternoon you'll find a market in Colònia de Sant Jordi, and every Thursday in Ses Salines, local producers come to sell their products such as fruit and veg, meat and fish, herbs and spices as well as clothes or small holiday souvenirs. The south and south-eastern Mallorcan coast also offer holidaymakers truly incredible beaches. Platja de es Dolc is around 3 km away from the villa, a bay sheltered by small rocky islands with magnificent views out over the sea and wooded dunes. You can get to the beach on foot from the car park in around 5 minutes. It's even easier to get to Plajta des Port beach. It is right next to Colonia de Sant Jordi harbour and its promenade lined with palm trees. There's also a number of inviting bars, restaurants and cafés here.
