Description

Summary:

Alpha Cottage is a stunning and beautifully restored cottage on the picture postcard Lower Street in Dittisham. Its exposed beams and stonework throughout lends itself to traditional comforts. In fact, the owners completed the renovations using timber harvested from their own woodland near their home. Its location is within touching distance of Dittisham Mill Creek, giving you the opportunity to relax and unwind in the peace and tranquility that is its surroundings. It is without doubt the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a small family holiday, with access to explore, and plenty to enjoy, including a breathtaking walk along the River Dart Trail taking in the west bank of the River Dart.
For many of us, dogs are such a huge part of our lives that we take them with us everywhere and dogs are most welcome at Alpha Cottage.
A wonderful day might comprise of a trip to Greenway House, it is an estate on the River Dart near Galmpton and was once the home of the author Agatha Christie and now owned by the National Trust. The estate is now served by a steam railway service with trains from Paignton and Kingswear stopping at Greenway Halt station. On a beautiful summers day return to Alpha Cottage and perhaps enjoying a drink in the outside space, equally on those less warm days enjoying the wonderfully cosy open fire. Alpha Cottage really does have everything to help relax and unwind.
