Description

Villa Salimao III is a contemporary villa, close to the stunning beaches and town centre of Sagres. It is situated on a quiet development of 10 villas which all share the community facilities of a delightful 12m x 6m swimming pool, a children's pool and beautiful gardens. Although it is just minutes from the town centre and Praia do Martinhal beach, it is a quiet little oasis. The villa sleeps six guests in three beautiful, wonderfully furnished bedrooms. The villas are all contemporary with minimalist design and deluxe furnishings.

Sagres is a surfer and hiker's paradise with its chilled-out vibe, stunning natural scenery and pounding, challenging waves. It lies on the south-western tip of Portugal and boasts endless stunning beaches. The breathtaking landscapes of the Natural Reserve can be enjoyed on coastal hikes or off-road trips. There are golf courses close by as well as tennis courts. Sagres boasts many restaurants and bars for a lively nightlife. The stunning weather enjoyed in this corner of Portugal makes for a wonderful, outdoors holiday.

Villa Salimao III has neutral, calming decor with occasional splashes of bright colours. The bathrooms and kitchen are extremely tasteful and well fitted. Downstairs is open-plan with a comfortable living and dining room space and a spacious, modern, streamlined kitchen. The downstairs toilet is useful when running in from the communal areas. The villa offers private outdoor spaces to the front and rear of the property. There is a covered outdoor dining area to the rear and a lawn and sun loungers to the front. The villa has a barbecue for alfresco dining. The roof terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy the fabulous views towards Praia do Martinhal. It is furnished well and is a very relaxing space.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are reached by climbing the fabulous, contemporary floating staircase. The excellent master bedroom has a double bed, a sparkling en-suite bathroom and direct access to the splendid terrace. The two remaining bedrooms both have twin beds and share a spacious family bathroom. All of the rooms in Villa Salimao III are bright and illuminated through the large glass doors and windows.
Villa Salimao III is part of a small development with three of our other properties, Villa Salimao I, Villa Salimao II and Villa Salimao IV, all sleeping 7 guests between 3 bedrooms. Each property can be rented individually, but the villas may also work well for larger groups looking to stay together while maintaining individual privacy.

#### Location
Lovers of the outdoors are drawn to the remote and laid-back Sagres. The landscapes are dramatic with huge cliffs carved out by pounding waves and landscapes kept barren by the strong prevailing winds. It is a surfers paradise and a fantastic area for hiking, cycling and bird watching. The Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e da Costa Vicentina is one of Portugal's largest natural reserves. The natural environment has been almost untouched. The rugged rocks of the steep coast are interrupted by small sandy bays and the surging swell from the Atlantic is spectacular. The landscape is rich in flora and fauna. Those not wanting to tackle the masterful waves can find a pristine, sheltered cove. The glorious sunshine is renowned, and the sunsets are spectacular.

You can walk to the stunning Praia do Martinhal beach in minutes from Villa Salimao III. The town centre is just as close, with cosy cafes, bars and restaurants, a lovely market, a good variety of shops and plenty of places to rent watersports equipment and bikes. Praia do Martinhal has lovely golden sand. More sheltered and family-friendly if you have young children is Praia da Mareta. Beach bars and restaurants line the bay as well as watersports companies. The small and sheltered Praia da Baleeira is next to the harbour. Praia do Tonel faces the best of the prevailing winds and is a great spot for surfing and kitesurfing.

Golf fans will be delighted by the courses nearby. The closest are Espiche, Palmares, Boavista and Morgado. The two championship courses at Amendoeira Resort, designed by Nick Faldo and Christy O'Connor, are one hour from the villa.

The Sagres fortress offers a delightful cliffside walk inside the fort, a lighthouse, cave and a large wind compass. It is close to Praia da Mareta and enjoys lovely sea views. Cabo Sao Vicente is a famous spot which claims to be the most south-westerly point of mainland Europe. It is a steep, windswept headland with an iconic working lighthouse towering above the cliffs. There is a small museum and gift shop attached to the lighthouse. The waters around the cape are rich in marine wildlife with sightings of sea otters and dolphins. Birdwatchers enjoy the area. When you stand looking out over the cliffs towards the vast expanse of ocean, you will truly appreciate the splendour of this amazing spot.
