Description

The stylish, modern, and still typically Mallorcan villa built in an authentic quarry-stone construction method was just completed in 2014 and is particularly oriented towards families and relaxation-seeking vacationers. At first glance, we are received by an impressive two-storey building in friendly, colourful terracotta shades. But the trained eye quickly recognises it as postmodern architecture despite the traditional style using basket arches on a protruding terrace and the balcony on top. The architecture can be recognised by the pancake design or details like the vertical light band. The outdoor area surrounding the house is freshly planted and has yet to unfold its full splendor. But despite this, you can already enjoy the view of an olive grove and the greenery. A relaxed polyrattan lounge made of dark mesh with light cushions can be found beneath the covered terrace by the house. At the same time, this lush, well-shaded terrace also contains a large glass table that fits up to 8 people. You can enjoy a wonderful barbecue here, for example, as a barbecue is available. If you walk down a few steps from the terrace across the greenery ornamented with wooden sculptures, you will reach the great pool facility measuring 10 x 5 metres. What is special about it, aside from the wrap-around sun terrace and the outdoor shower, is a second, shallower basin that leads down to the 1.80 m deep pool via the stairs. This makes it ideal for babies or toddlers to splash around in.

The house's interior decoration is not just coherent and stylishly modern, but it also harmonises incredibly well with the tradition of the external shell. The arched ceilings in the large living/dining and kitchen area alone pick up on the traditional construction and add a certain cosiness to the postmodern decor. Following the modern life philosophy of open (functional) rooms, the living, dining, and kitchen areas with floor-length window elements merge. The living space is equipped with a beige-coloured settee - super comfortable for a low-key TV evening with the LCD TV. At the opposite end of the room lies the super chic kitchen in white high gloss. The cabinets are nobly embedded into the walls.
It seems as if the house is built around the truly great kitchen, at the centre of which the fantastic cooking island is enthroned. The kitchen is fully equipped with a kettle, coffee machine, microwave, oven at a convenient height, and a large refrigerator/freezer combo, and much more. The cooking island also serves as a visual room divider. Next to it lies the dining area with a large, also white dining table and comfortable high-back chairs. The elegant, modern style of the house is underlined by discreet decorative items such as the bulbous bottle collection in green glass. The contrast of colours is very harmonious compared to the overall very light, nearly white living space and at the same time unpretentiously simple. A total of 4 bedrooms are just as appealing as the open living space. All rooms are bright and flooded with light and partly feature an exit to the balcony above the terrace. The comfortable beds have differently sized mattresses. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with an Italian design. The remaining bathrooms also all have a bathtub or a walk-in shower and are communally used by the other 3 bedrooms. A guest WC is also available. In the bedrooms, many loving details are mementos of the past - such as the visible wooden beams - and at the same time these rooms boast a tasteful luxury, pleasantly strengthened by a cool understatement and a pleasure to visitors due to their quality in terms of design and aesthetics.

Since the stylish villa "Calonge" balances between tradition and modernity, it is also wonderfully positioned in terms of location. The villa is situated between the little village of Calonge and the more vibrant beach town of Cala D'Or. Calonge is a small, quiet village in a gently hilly landscape. In contrast, Cala D'Or offers active city life with many bars, restaurants, a fancy yacht harbour, and numerous little beaches that are very popular. Additional, equally beautiful, slightly quieter swimming bays are quick to reach. These include Cala Mitjana and Cala Mondrago, among others. Cala Mondragó belongs to the 766-hectare nature park of Mondragó. The two largest bays of this nature park, ses Fonts de N'Alis and s'Amarador, are connected by a short walk across a rocky path. Nature lovers can discover a rich nature and animal world independent of fine sandy beaches. If you are in the mood for nightlife or hustle and bustle and boisterous merriment, you can drive to Cala D'Or and spend the afternoon or evening at one of the good restaurants. We at Fincallorca wish our vacationers a relaxing and varied stay in the high-quality villa "Calonge" with a feeling of luxury.
