Description

Strathmore House holds a wonderful location nestled within beautiful Scottish countryside, it makes a secluded and tranquil setting for a luxury retreat where guests will enjoy making memories that will last a lifetime. Set within Angus, close to the small village of Glamis, there is plenty to see, do and explore in the area with iconic homes to visit such as Glamis Castle and Scone Palace, a variety of a variety of excellent golf courses and a wide selection of gin and whisky tasting opportunities!

The spectacular Edwardian house can comfortably accommodate up to eighteen guests across the nine bedrooms set between the main house and additional cottage. In the main house is the impressive living accommodation which comprises of a spacious drawing room with cosy wood-burning stove, a sumptuous dining room and a huge fully-equipped kitchen which boasts all the tools a budding chef could possibly need to whip up a delicious meal! In the evenings, the adults will enjoy retiring to the billiards room to enjoy a game of snooker or perhaps enjoying a post dinner drink in the glamorous champagne room! Upstairs are the first six of the bedrooms, each boasting super-king size beds, two of the rooms feature luxurious en-suite bathrooms complete with free-standing baths, while the remaining four all feature either an en-suite shower or bathroom.
The remaining three bedrooms are located in the cottage, which is in a separate building to the main house and therefore would be ideal for two families holidaying together. The cottage features its very own living area and kitchen, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The grounds of Strathmore House are as equally impressive and feature endless entertainment and relaxation opportunities. With not one, but two, seven-seater hot tubs, there is plenty of room for guests to relax after action-packed days spent exploring the surrounding area. In the Summer months, there is no better place to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining than on the terrace while cooking up a storm on the Weber barbecue. Those travelling slightly out of season need not worry as the all-weather barbecue hut which comes complete with fairy lights will keep you cosy and dry whatever the weather! The whole family will enjoy a competitive game of Boules on the purpose-build court, while the putting green is ideal for those wanting to brush up on their technique before travelling to one of the near-by golf courses.
