With original beams, impressive Gothic features and decorated in soft, tasteful shades, Malbanc Cottage is a sophisticated and elegant property that is the perfect setting for a holiday to remember. The sitting room’s large picture windows create a light and airy feel, while the high ceilings and original beams throughout add a drama and elegance too.

The dining room table is set for eight, but can be extended to seats 16 guests, ideal if you are booking more cottages as a group on the Combermere Estate. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need for entertaining, including integrated appliances, large fridges and double ovens.

Upstairs, you’ll find two comfortable double bedrooms, a twin bedroom with a further cosy twin bedroom up the winding second staircase set into the eaves, with huge glass windows. Malbanc Cottage is in the ideal location for exploring the paths and walks of the Combermere Estate. Once you’ve stretched those legs, leave your outdoor gear in the handy boot room, come in and relax.

Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker was originally built to be the centre of regional government had nuclear war broken out. It’s a chilling reminder of the Cold War, and a great place to visit if it’s raining!
From vintage motor sport festivals to bike championships, from track days to driver training, Oulton Park Race Circuit is a favourite venue for petrol heads. It markets itself as the UK’s most picturesque motor circuit and is just a few miles’ drive away.
If you’d like to go off the map and wander through a fantasy land of cliffs, crags, caves and woods, Hawkstone Park is a historic wooded landscape with a number of follies to explore. This is what theme parks looked like 200 years ago!
Garden enthusiasts will love Hodnet Hall and its beautiful grounds. The manor house dates back to the 16th century, but people flock here to see the famous, award-winning gardens, with rare trees and chain of seven lakes and pools. The gardens are open to the public on Sundays and Bank Holidays from early April to late September.
Nearby Stoke-on-Trent was the hub of the pottery industry for over 250 years. Come and explore the craftsmanship and techniques that were used here at the World of Wedgwood, and enjoy the shops and restaurants too.
