Description

This rustic villa is situated on a 15,000 m² estate, entirely surrounded by natural stone walls. From the upper-level terrace, one has a view of the enclosed nature reserve, with its ancient trees, steep cliffs and perched terrace cultivation. The house is surrounded by a quintessentially Mallorcan idyll and is ideal for those who seek tranquillity. A circular path from the ground floor allows to properly experience the diverse and unique plant and bird specimens. Here grow wild olive groves, age-old holm oaks, Aleppo pines, carob trees, fig trees, almond trees, lentisks, sage-leaved rock-roses, tree spurges, small fruit asphodels, metre-high sedges, and much more. The rare orchid species are fascinating. A pleasure for the eyes and the nose are the countless herbs that grow wild such as rosemary, lavender, thyme and salvia. Around the immediate surroundings of the house, one encounters several gardened areas with palms, aloe, oleander, yucca palms and cacti, all of which nicely complete the overall Mediterranean picture. The pool area includes an 8 m pool, terrace furniture and several sun-loungers as well as a pool house with outdoor shower and toilet. The villa is guarded by a black cat named Blacky. The owner wishes to keep him on the villa even when it is being rented, since he is an real treasure. He is very loyal, affectionate and easy to care for. He only sticks around the surroundings of the house and resides in a cat house in the vicinity.

The country house is consistently decorated with taste, transmitting a strong feeling of privacy and even fulfils the standards of luxury one seeks during a holiday in a villa in Mallorca. We enter the villa through a wide, decorated stairway with flowerpots. A massive front door leads into the foyer of the house. It leads us further into the open, spaciously laid out living quarters with a dining area. In a corner is a fireplace with a all-round glazing. A comfortable leather sofa with leather chairs, as well as a wicker sofa (with TV), transmit a pleasant feeling of privacy. A rustic, large wooden table with eight chairs is part of the dining space. The fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator (with freezer) is directly underneath round arches made of Mares stone. The kitchen also includes a separate pantry and storage room. A master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a private guest toilet complete the overview of the living space on the upper floor. On the ground floor, there are two additional bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. A baby cot is also available for a small child. In addition, the large lounge room offers the possibility to watch TV (2 TVs with satellite connection). The washing machine, a deep washbasin, an ironing board and the clothes drying area are available on the ground floor. The living room leads to the large, roofed terrace with the adjacent pool. The pool area hosts nearby terrace furniture and several loungers, as well as a small pool hut with an outdoor shower and toilet.

This fjord-like natural cove is about 100 metres wide and 70 metres long. The shallow access into the water, the absolutely gentle waves, the azure-coloured sea water make this cove popular and particularly children-friendly. The cove is open towards the sea at the end, so you can enjoy a charming long-distance view. 1.4 km away lies Santanyi, a small Mallorcan town with restaurants, shops and a historical centre, with a popular weekly market which takes place twice a week.
