Description

Welcome to Derwent Farmhouse, a truly unique and utterly fabulous Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse set in an idyllic location in Derbyshire. Boasting it’s large rural garden this magnificent property is made for those special get-togethers and memorable family celebrations. Come and stay in one of Derbyshire’s most exclusive luxury holiday homes...

Derwent Farmhouse has recently been completely refurbished transforming this beautiful period building into a stylish and elegant home. Farrow & Ball colours and contemporary yet complimentary styling brings the building to life and creates a gorgeous blend of comfort and grandeur.

Approached via a very fitting farm lane, your first glimpse of the handsome Georgian exterior is a real joy. Beautiful sash windows and a sage doorway invite you into a traditional entrance room.
The house is set over three floors compromising of:

Ground Floor:

Entrance Kitchen - Luxury navy and copper Devol farmhouse kitchen complete with electric range, fridge, freezer & washer drier.

Country Dining Room - Large dining room with a roaring log burner
Sumptuous Living Room - This cosy living room also has a log burner and television, perfect for nights in!

The Snug - The snug has been recently decorated, complete with Chesterfield sofas, dim lights, plenty of board games & cocktail mixers!

First floor:
The Farmhouse Room - this country inspired room is at the front of the house with views over the countryside, this room has a king size bed & also has an en-suite with shower.

The Chic Room - Recently decorated this room has a very glamorous vibe, plush furnishings and chandeliers all add to the glitz and glamour, this room has a double bed & en-suite with shower.

The Sumptuous Room - Inspired by our love for all things oriental, this decadent room will have you feeling like you never want to leave, the room is home to a double bed & luxurious decor.

Family bathroom - The large sunken family bathroom is located just down the hallway, complete with extra-large roll top bath, shower & double basins, perfect for a relaxing soak.

Top Floor:
The Cosy Room - The top floor of the property is home to the Cosy Room, perfect for children. The Cosy Room has four single beds and comfy decoration.

The Flamingo Room - Just across the hallway we have the Flamingo Room! A mixture of Navy, Pink & Gold, along with the odd flamingo. A plush pink bed combined with gold mirrors & navy furniture makes this the ultimate staycation bedroom. This room is home to a king size bed.

Tiki Bathroom - Perfectly placed between the two bedrooms is the tiki bathroom, complete with another (yet slightly smaller) roll top bath & shower.

Outdoor Area:
The outdoor area to the property really is the ‘piece de resistance’ through the French doors and tucked in a corner is ‘Ye Olde Coop’, this used to be the old chicken coop but has been turned into an outdoor bar. The bar has many stools, benches and a heater for those cold nights. The pumps are just for show however there is a fridge complete with craft beers & an honesty box.

Heading along the garden past the vast amount of flowers & apple trees we have installed a hot tub on a paved area for you to enjoy, surrounding the hot tub are sage green picnic tables and a large outdoor teak dining table.

Feel free to dabble in the greenhouse, pick the walnuts from the trees (if you can beat the squirrels!) and even collect your own eggs daily from our resident chickens. We also have pigs that live on site (enclosed) you are free to go and visit them as much as you like!

Dogs are more than welcome and are completely safe in our 100% dog friendly garden. A barbecue is also available for use during your stay.

The property is located within Great Wilne which is one of the UKs smallest hamlets, surrounded by fields and rivers you are never too far from adventure.

A five minute walk takes you to the heart of Shardlow, in total there are 8 pubs here, perfect for a lazy Sunday pub crawl! Our recommendations local and further will all be in your welcome pack.
There is plenty of on-site parking at the property, there is enough for four large cars on the gated driveway and on road parking is also available.
