Description

It is not hard to find a villa with similar facilities in Mallorca. However, it is much harder to find a property that is also in very close proximity to the beach. These villas are usually not located by the seaside, but rather in the back country of the island, which is equally pretty but offers different highlights. The villa "Leon I", however, presents a perfect combination of modern facilities with a fantastic location near the sea. The harbour is less than a kilometre away, the gorgeous beach "Cala Marcal" is only 2,000 m from the property and thus just a short trip away as well.

The outdoor area is characterised by the lush garden. Here, you will find breezy shade and an intimate feeling of privacy. The pool is a real eye-catcher with blue-mosaic tiling. The basin, no less than 10 m long, is comfortable fitted with steps and offers an extra area with whirlpool. Lavishly spread out on the comfortable sunbeds underneath the Mediterranean sky and let your mind wander free, perhaps over a cool drink or snack. A neat stonewalled shower offers additional refreshment. The sun terrace continues into the roofed part of the terrace with various seating options. Stretch out and relax on the sofa if you wish. The dining table offers you the chance to host intimate dinners and enjoy your breakfast with a view of the deep-blue morning sky. In the evening, celebrate savoury barbecueing parties, preparing and enjoying fresh regional specialities.

Among others, the broad wing door opens up into the house from the terrace, offering access to the spaciously designed living room with a pleasant, floral ambience. Here, you will find comfortable sofas, to cosily read on or watch television at any time of day. A modern and fully-furnished kitchen offers ample storage space as well as everything you need during the day, including filter coffee machine and electric kettle. The spacious living room holds a large dining table, allowing everyone in your travel party to enjoy dinner together indoors. In the three individually and very distinctively designed bedrooms, automatically air-conditioned between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m., you and your party can relax and regenerate from the daily hustle and bustle. One bed of 1.50 x 1.90 m, two beds of 0.90 x 1.90 m, as well as a further bed with 1.35 x 1.90 m are available. The baths are lit by natural light and tastefully furnished. Irons and hair dryers are available in the house, so you do not need to bring them yourself.

Portocolom waits for visitors with a very charming breath of authenticity. The largest natural harbour of the island is situated here. Even though it primarily serves private shipping traffic now, it remains an important fishing harbour. The harbour promenade with its cafés and restaurants invites people to saunter and enjoy their surroundings, with a special charm at night. Aside from the harbour, the old city is also worth a visit. The pretty and protected natural beach of Cala Marcal, at the southern part of Portocolom, is around 120 metres wide. Close to the villa district of "Sa Punta", you will find a further two smaller beaches, at the opposite side of the bay.
