Description

Occupying a tucked-away and tranquil spot within typical Puglia countryside between the Valle d'Itria towns of Cisternino and Locorotondo is stylishly restored Trulli Daniele. This traditional trulli has undergone a modern makeover that has ensured its character and charm remain intact.

A range of local materials have been used to make Trulli Daniele look and feel as authentic as the day it was built. And contemporary features mean this cosy and comfortable holiday home is the ideal place for anyone looking for an idyllic escape. The surrounding landscapes offer scenic walks and bike rides, with historic towns and the coast all easily reached by car.

Found under the trulli's conical roofs are two air-conditioned bedrooms that both feel refreshingly light and cool, thanks to the white walls, floors and furnishings. The double master bedroom also offers a romantic atmosphere, with a beautiful bath in the room and doors that open onto a private courtyard. The second bedroom suits both children sharing and a couple alike, as the twin beds can be made into a double.

Whitewashed walls and characteristic arched ceilings are also themes in the open-plan living area. Unwind on a sofa and dine in the kitchen with the sweet-scented air flowing in through doors that lead out to either the pool terrace or courtyard area.

It's in the typical Italian outside space that you can really appreciate the stillness and natural beauty of the area. As you enjoy an al fresco meal, take a dip in the pool or take a walk through the courtyard, you're always surrounded by lush greenery and rural scenes.

As well as Locorotondo and Cisternino being close to Trulli Daniele, other Valle d'Itria towns are just a short drive away. These include Martina Franca, and Alberobello with its trulli-lined streets. Also visit Ostuni, otherwise known as 'The White City', to discover a whitewashed old town and wealth of historic buildings.

The Ostuni coast is dotted with sandy beaches for enjoying a day by the sea. One of the most popular beach is at Torre Canne, with nearby Parco Dune Costiere natural park and its olive groves, wetlands and sand dunes to explore.

#### Location
Deep in the countryside between two well-known Valle d'Itria towns, a stay at Trulli Daniele gets you away from it all in an oasis of peace and calm. The surrounding area is all olive groves, lush greenery and quiet country lanes.

Locorotondo (4.5km) is less than a 10-minute drive away, with the town offering a choice of restaurants and bars for evenings out. Also stock up on groceries and other holiday items in its shops and supermarkets, as well as hire bikes for exploring the area. The main draw of Locorotondo is its peaceful and traditional atmosphere, with the old town being a maze of streets lined with whitewashed houses and little churches.

Drive around 10 minutes in the opposite direction from the villa and you'll reach the town of Cisternino (7km). Its look and feel is much like Locorotondo's, with an old town, churches and whitewashed buildings. Cisternino is also famous for the butchers and meat markets where you choose what you want and have it grilled or roasted while you wait.

Iconic Ostuni (24km), also known as 'The White City', can be reached by car within 30 minutes. Its old town is full of whitewashed buildings that were the inspiration for the city's alternative name. Some of Ostuni's most stunning structures include the city walls and the 15th-century Gothic cathedral. If you visit on a Saturday, you can pick up a range of locally-grown fresh fruit and vegetables at the weekly market.

Parco Dune Costiere (22km) is a naturally beautiful place to spend a few hours exploring varied landscapes. The countryside is ideal for long walks and bike rides, with wetlands and sand dunes to discover near the sea. Guided tours will tell you all about the park and the flora and fauna found there.

All along the coast near Parco Dune Costiere are beautiful beaches. One of the most popular is at Torre Canne (17km), which is less than a 30-minute drive from the villa. It boasts sandy stretches and natural hot springs with mineral-rich waters. The sea is calm, with clear waters that provide safe conditions for swimming.
