Description

Situated in the picturesque wooded valley of the River Teise, next to a watermill, this beautiful farmhouse dates back to the 18th Century and enjoys wonderful views over the millpond to the fields beyond. It is set in a rural location which is visited by kingfishers, herons and mallards. The farmhouse is extremely spacious and a wonderful home from home making this a great property for family holidays and celebrations. The open plan family kitchen is perfect for family gatherings and opens into a dining area with seating for ten. There is also a large beamed fireplace adding character to this wonderful family room. There is an elegant, well proportioned sitting room with a working fireplace and a study/snug next door with a football table. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms, an en-suite shower room and a bathroom. The views from the rear bedrooms across the millpond are stunning. There are plenty of walking trails from the doorstep so don't forget to pack your walking boots and there are many National Trust properties and gardens close by. Tunbridge Wells is about 4 miles away which has a great shopping centre as well as many restaurants, cafes and pubs. Locally there are a few pubs serving good food and there is a vineyard in Lamberhurst with organised tours and tastings.

Mobile phone signal is patchy, depending on your provider. Wifi provided can support mobile wifi use if you have this function downloaded.

Working from home: although we offer Wi-Fi and fibre broadband, this is a residential address so facilities for “working from home” are not guaranteed. Our Wi-Fi is supplied by a third-party and we do not always have 100% control over its functioning. If you need guaranteed Wi-Fi access and have lots of Zoom calls and meetings during your stay, you should ensure that you make arrangements for alternative office rental during the day. The Farmhouse is designed to be a holiday accommodation, not an office.

Any bookings which have to be cancelled as a result of either UK Government restrictions or guest illness due to COVID-19 will be rescheduled for free. If you wish to have a full refund, then please make sure that you have adequate travel insurance and your own travel insurance covers this. This is an alteration to our normal terms and conditions whilst the UK Government have COVID-19 restrictions in place.
