Nearby Ilfracombe has a good range of shops and amenities on offer. You will also find The Tunnels Beach, the harbour and numerous pubs and restaurants. Access to the South West Coast Path, which travels through the surrounding National Trust Land, again is within walking distance of the house. There are numerous attractions within easy reach of the property including the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth cliff railway. There are lots of smaller villages, coves and bays to visit including Lee Bay, Mortehoe and Barricane beach. Exmoor is a short distance away and on a clear day the views can be spectacular. There are National Trust properties at Arlington and Knightshayes, and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Great Torrington to visit. From Ilfracombe harbour, there are numerous boats offering fishing trips or excursions along the dramatic coastline and trips to Lundy island. There is also a golf course nearby. Beach 5 miles, Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
