An authentic countryside cottage. Just a short drive from Castellina in Chianti, and within easy reach for day trips to Siena, the outside world is out of sight, but not out of reach. It’s an intensely natural environment, encircled by hillside oaks. There are plenty of spaces to sprawl out and catch the sun, including the private pool and the outdoor lounge area, and the main terrace is a peaceful corner to enjoy a delicious and authentically Tuscan meal together.

The interior resembles a rustic stone cottage, with comfortable and classy furniture throughout. The ceilings have exposed wooden beams for that extra-rural look, and an array of local pastoral artwork adorns the walls. The villa as a whole radiates an atmosphere of artisanal and homely charm.

Our Thoughts

Ideal for a group looking to connect in peace and quiet, the idyllic rural haven of La Capannuccia is a wonderful place to catch some country air. The bedrooms upstairs are a vision of elegance. The high ceilings allow cool air to circulate, and since there’s an outdoor and an indoor living room, you can relax whatever the weather.

Pets are allowed, though guests must be aware that the villa is not fenced, and therefore not pet-secured.

The open staircase means that this villa is not suitable for young children.

The owner’s live in the barn above the pool area, they are an elderly couple that will ensure that guests are given as much privacy as possible.
