Description

Situated on the main route between the popular towns of Sandown and Shanklin, Jasmin Cottage is ideally located for family holidays, and offers plenty of space for groups of up to 6 people. There is an enclosed garden at the rear with access to private parking for up to two cars. Please note that there is a raised pond in the Garden and children should be suitably supervised.

The Cottage is deceptively large inside, with raised ceilings in the bedrooms which make the rooms feel light and spacious. The large Kitchen & Dining area forms part of the conservatory area, which floods the room with natural light and is surrounded by greenery from the very private garden. The cottage has been recently refurbished but retains a great deal of its original charm.

There are three bedrooms, two double bedrooms on the first floor and a family bedroom on the ground floor with a double and a single bed. On the first floor is a large family bathroom, with walk in Shower and an additional WC.

On the ground floor, there is a separate living room, and an additional sofa area in the conservatory.

The nearby beaches at Sandown and Shanklin are popular with visitors, and the wide sandy beaches offer safe bathing waters with gently sloping sandy bottom and clear water. There are dozens of cafes, bars and restaurants along the waterfronts, and also lots of traditional seaside amusements and rides, along with a collection of crazy golf courses and even a zoo.

The beach at Lake, between Sandown and Shanklin is much quieter, but still offers the same safe bathing and sand found throughout the bay. The beach can be accessed via the cliff path, a short walk from the Cottage.

Most visitors to the Island bring their car, but you don’t have to when staying here, as their is a main bus route and bus stop right outside and even a train station a few hundred yards away. The cottage is in an area with plenty of restaurants, takeaways and supermarket a few short steps from the front door.
