Welcome to our humble refuge. This cozy self-catered home has provided shelter for generations in this peaceful coastal fishing village. Today is no exception if you are searching for a peaceful getaway from the modern busy world you live in.

Enjoy this comfortable yet modest 3 bedroom Stonehouse. This self catered home can be your escape into your emotional well being. Open your mind and senses to the sea at your back door.

Take advantage of the terrace for your entire day´s activities… breakfast, then that delicious second cup of coffee and a book, maybe a pre-lunch nap in the morning sun, and then it is time for lunch.

Ah lunch! Now, remember where you are. It is not familiar ground. Sounds different, smells different, and feels different. This can take some planning, but, you know what? It is worth it! Take a white baguette. Not just a white flour thing that came out of the oven brown on the outside. No. It has to look like a pale baguette that has never been sun tanned. Slice and open it lengthways and spread mayonnaise. Not too much, even if you are a mayo lover, you need to hold from this temptation. You spread just enough to taste the tang. Next, lay thin slices of fresh medium ripe tomato, followed by our famous Azorean St. Jorge cheese, the sharp version. Finally the secret ingredient that combines the moment, the atmosphere, the sea and old Europe……fresh, garden grown like nature intended it – basil. Accompanied with a side of olives, not the salty green ones the bigger the better, or the ones stuffed with the pimento that look like a Christmas ornament. No. Look for the container that says mixed olives. They are funny looking, different sizes, pale-greenish brown, purple and black. But, they have the olive oil flavor in them. Frame this lunch composition with an Azorean wine that will complete the moment. Produced in Pico, grown and nurtured in the lava rocks and bathed by the Atlantic sun…….Terra de Lava white 2009 or 2011, red 2011.

Enjoy the peaceful moments of low tide and splash away your tensions in the natural pool.

Finish your perfect day with a BBQ and dinner on the terrace.
Conclude your dinner by watching the sunset on the ocean while savoring the fruity flavors of our Azorean wines or sipping our famous port wine from mainland Portugal.

And to cap it all, reflect on your day as you lay your head on the pillow and allow the murmurs of the ocean at your window soothe your peaceful self into sleep.
Please note that the final cleaning of 75 euros and firewood 15 euros for the wood stove and BBQ has not been included in the quote. It can be paid in cash at the checkin.
