Description

From outside, the completely original villa "Can Taco" almost seems like it belongs it a glossy magazine for dream Mediterranean gardens. Surrounded by lush vegetation, this unique jewel and its beautifully designed estate lie on the outskirts of a small village. Especially in summer, the garden blooms in a majesty of colours, meaning that spending time outside here will be a truly pleasant experience. Hidden on the rear side of the outdoor area and therefore not overlooked, there is a terrace built from typical Mallorcan cobblestone, including comfortable sun-loungers for soaking up the rays to your heart's content. Should the sun become a little too much, then you can retire to the covered part of the terrace or simply take a refreshing dip in the large pool. In the evening, you only need light up the barbecue and the dinner with the whole group can begin - the cosy dining table is not far away. It's perfect for feasting until you can feast no more. There are pretty seating areas with chairs and little tables dotted all around for a moment's peace or a little chat - of course surrounded by beautiful plants.

The interior offers a nice change of air from the slightly enchanted design of the garden. In the large living-cum-dining area, Mediterranean rusticity means classical style and comfort. High ceilings and beautifully carved wooden beams fill the room with air and prevent any feeling of being enclosed. Three large cream-coloured sofas are ideal for getting together with friends or family, whilst a crackling fire is guaranteed to add that extra bit of homeliness. The almost royal-looking table in the dining area is great for eating all together. Large and rustic, it has a wonderful wooden texture as well as easily enough space for eight people, transforming whatever meal into a pleasant communal dining experience. A brilliantly equipped kitchen is at your disposal for preparing meals, boasting all manner of electronic devices as well as a highly modern fridge with double doors and water dispenser to help keep your stomach happy. A terrific bonus is the almost horizontal window in the roof, flooding the room with lots of light. The villa's bedrooms are all slightly separated from each other and offer, as well as large, comfy beds, plenty of privacy for each and every guest.

The villa's surroundings have also plenty to offer. From its idyllic location in the Tramuntana mountains, but still well-connected thanks to the nearby motorway - sometimes audible depending on wind direction - the little village of Galilea is even accessible on foot. We recommend a pleasant stroll around the little resort, and letting yourself along in with the languid and peaceful rhythm of life enjoyed by the locals, though equally worthwhile is a small hiking trip into the surrounding nature. Those wanting a little more liveliness will be well catered for in Calvia, only 10.5 km away; it has small shops, restaurants and even a traditional weekly market - perfect for picking up a souvenir or two. For a day by the sea, the incredible sandy beach Platja Palmira (13.7 km away) is ideal, or even the more rough and ready Cala Fornells, 15.5 km away.
