Description

Old Brewery House holds a unique location on the edge of the private lake within the Donnington Brewery, parts of this building date back to the 12th century, but still it continues to remain a working brewery today! The house itself has been beautifully renovated with modern furnishings and amenities while still managing to retain its original features and character. It has a really special, one-of-a-kind location, just a few minutes' drive from Stow-on-the-Wold and a variety of popular Cotswold market towns and villages, making it the ultimate base for anyone looking to fully explore the region.

The house sleeps up to eight guests across three levels in four spacious bedrooms, each complete with en-suite bathroom and spectacular lake views, a further two guests can be accommodated using a handy sofa bed. On the ground floor is the fully-equipped modern fitted kitchen boasting dining facilities and all necessary amenities as well as three reception rooms, including a snug, a larger living room and a sun room. Upstairs, on the first floor, are three of the king-size double bedrooms, all the beds in the property are zip link and so can be made into twins if necessary, which might be better suited those travelling with friends. On the second floor, is the final king-size double bedroom.

Outside, a pretty mill stream flows through the wonderful gardens which come complete with croquet lawn. There is a terrace area, with dining facilities and a barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining on a warm summers evening!

The Old Brewery has a fantastic location in a private area within the picture postcard valley close just 5 minutes from the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, where a wide range of amenities can be found. A handy village pub, The Golden Ball, serving Donnington ales and good food can be found in Lower Snell, just a mile down the road from the brewery. The popular Cotswold towns of Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden are all within a 20-minute car journey, while for those looking to explore a little further afield, both Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are reachable in half an hour, while Oxford itself is under an hour away.
