The windows are designed with minimalist frames, embedding the views within the villa's walls, just a fingertip touch away. The main living space is spread between two rooms, both open-plan.

The larger of the two spaces accommodate the kitchen and dining areas, as well as a cosy nook with a sofa and fireplace, where you can curl up and read a book with your morning coffee, enjoying the light that shines through the adjacent patio doors. A couple of steps lead down to the lounge where the ceiling shoots up to a double-height, with expansive windows that flood the space with natural light. A huge sofa dominates the room with a fireplace and views of the surrounding trees to steal your attention. This warm space is light and spacious, yet the soft materials and cosy colours create a homeliness that makes it easy to instantly relax.

The villa's two ground floor bedrooms are both equally modern in their design. Each comes with its own garden access and tranquil views out to the pretty surroundings. Boasting sleek en-suite bathrooms, with walk-in showers you can enjoy your own privacy, returning to the communal areas to spend time as a group. There are two further bedrooms, one on the first floor and the second on the lower ground floor. The lower ground floor room is much the same as the other two, with a double bed, en-suite bathroom and access to the garden. The first floor room is huge, with a further living room at its disposal, alongside its en-suite bathroom, perfect for those who enjoy a little extra privacy.

Stepping outside, the contemporary design continues, with a private heated pool, luscious garden, outdoor dining area and fabulous barbecue. If long days in the sun are called for, then this is the perfect spot, offering plenty of room for you to relax under the clear blue sky's of Portugal!

This stunning villa is located in Aldeia do Meco, a small and tranquil village on the outskirts of Lisbon. With all the colour and vibrancy of Lisbon just a short drive away, you can enjoy the blissful atmosphere of the villa's setting, travelling into the hustle and bustle of the city for a livelier experience.

The villa itself is located just 1 kilometre from the local shops, with Meco Beach only a little further away. Bicas beach is around 3 km from your front door and is known to be a popular surfing spot, perfect if you are an experienced surfer or are just looking to give it a go! If you prefer to explore below the water, then Portinho de Arrabida and Sesimbra beaches have some of the most interesting diving in Portugal. Sailing, windsurfing and canoeing can also be enjoyed nearby at Lagoa de Albufeira, perfect for kids and adults alike.

Sesimbra is less than a 20-minute drive away, famous for its fish restaurants, so perfect for a meal out. You will also find a range of shops there including a bakery, butcher, bank, post office and supermarkets, as well as the fish markets selling all the local catches, perfect for a home-cooked barbecue! To go alongside your meal, the region is well known for its excellent wine cellars, so you can go for a visit during the day, picking your favourite to take home to enjoy with dinner. Wine, cheese and the small Swiss roll (tortas) are the specialities of the region, as well as the renowned Portuguese tart, that is a must try during your stay!

If you are a keen golfer, then the region will suit you well. There are four recommended championship golf courses, all located within driving distance of Villa do Meco. Quinta do Peru is the nearest, just 20 kilometres away, with Aroeira, Montado, Santo Estevao and Troia all a little bit further away. Pack your clubs and get ready to tee off, returning to the villa for a swim and afternoon of relaxing when you finish!
