Description

Villa Libythea occupies an impressive position within the rolling Le Marche countryside, wearing its heritage with pride and elegance. The structure dates back to the early 19th century, with a skilled renovation having transformed it into the beautiful holiday home you see today. It's a stunning example of the effortless blend of the region's typical rural architecture and of refined, modern luxury.

Brick and stone are the key themes throughout the interior of spacious Villa Libythea; taking inspiration from its naturally beautiful surroundings. Swathes of idyllic countryside are an immediate neighbour, with both the Sibillini Mountains and picturesque beaches by the Adriatic Sea within easy reach.

Experience total relaxation in the airy open-plan living/dining space. Sink back into the sofa and spend laid-back afternoons reading or simply soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. A beautiful modern fireplace sets the mood for cosy evenings and pre-dinner drinks before you move over to the stylish dining table to enjoy a delicious meal. Ground floor access straight into the garden means you can also make the most of the breathtaking scenery by dining outside in a lovely area with brick barbecue.

The soothing, neutral colour scheme and abundance of natural materials continues into the bedroom and bathroom spaces. There are four bedrooms in total at Villa Libythea, with each being light and restful. One of the upper floor bedrooms also has its own private bathroom. This floor is also home to a terrace that overlooks the mountainous and rural landscapes; making it one of the best places to watch the sun rising and setting.

The villa sits within an extensive plot that has an area for every mood and outdoor activity that you want to immerse yourself in. Take a dip in the private swimming pool and then unwind in the Jacuzzi. Lush lawns are dotted with stone wall structures and bursting with traditional Mediterranean trees and plants. The enchanting atmosphere of the outside space really comes into its own when evening falls and you dine al fresco as the stars begin to appear.

Villa Libythea is ideally located for getting out and discovering the beauty of Le Marche region. Country walks, hikes through hills and mountains and relaxing on pretty beaches are all perfect ways to spend your days. Also take day trips to historic nearby towns and cities, such as Fermo and Ascoli Piceno.

#### Location
When you can bear to tear yourself away from secluded Villa Libythea, you might be surprised by how close the nearest amenities are. Less than a 10-minute drive away is a village with a restaurant, bar, supermarket and bank. Long, country walks are on the doorstep here, with the surrounding hillsides boasting scenic hikes too.

The Sibillini Mountains are ideal for enthusiastic hikers, with Monti Sibillini National Park also offering rafting through the gorges of the River Nera and rock climbing. Days out by the beach can be enjoyed at Cupra Marittima and Grottammare. Pedaso is one of the closest beaches to Villa Libythea, but it's rather small and pebbly. Therefore you might prefer to follow the beach cycle path from there to San Benedetto del Tronto for its sandy stretch.

Ascoli Piceno is probably most famous and recognisable for its honey-coloured limestone buildings. Visit this historic city to enjoy lively squares lined with places of interest, such as Piazza del Popolo with the 13th-century Palazzo dei Capitani del Popolo. Piazza Arringo, meanwhile, is home to a cathedral and a fascinating crypt.

Also take a day trip to the hilltop town of Fermo. There's plenty of historical sightseeing to do here, so make sure you tick the impressive cathedral and Piazza del Popolo off your list. One of the most popular activities to do here is simply relax on a cafe terrace and indulge in some people-watching! Summer is a great time to visit the city of Macerata, as it holds an Opera Festival in an open-air amphitheater at this time every year.
