“La Calderera” is the true model property, and at the same time so charming and magical that you simply can’t help but feel happy here. It’s therefore unsurprising that this indescribably beautiful country house has already appeared in “Schöner Wohnen” and “Casa y Campo”. The outdoor area alone is unreal. The artistic garden design comprises of a seemingly arbitrary combination of giant palm trees, cypresses, olive and fruit trees, as well as lush blooming and succulent plants scattered across extensive laws. Cobblestone walls and natural stone terraces almost seem to have grown naturally and not been designed at all. Places to sit have been created to be like hidden treasures: covered terraces in front of and behind the house; a relaxed lounge in the garden; and a pergola with sweet violet flowers entwined in its frame, also featuring a place to sit which leads to the pool area near to the house. The pool itself, adorned with turquoise mosaic stone, is surrounded by a sun terrace with sun-loungers, pretty benches and a lovely café-accessory collection with a covered area. Reading a book, a cold drink in the shade, a nice chat with friends, a nightcap after a merry barbecue evening in the covered outdoor kitchen with convenient barbecue and enticing eating area – you’ll find your favourite place for all your holiday activities, since “La Calderera” has a truly exquisite selection.

The interior of this tastefully decorated country house, which we wholeheartedly recommend, is as private and yet personal as the garden. Outside as well as inside, it’s the lovely little details that help visitors to unwind so quickly. So random as to almost be striking, these details still create a thoroughly coherent and harmonious effect. That is the art of great interior design; the naturalness and restraint of the finish, in perfect keeping with the island, confer a wonderful charisma on the villa. Traditional arts and crafts in the form of antiques, countryside artefacts, typical pottery and neo-baroque furniture are carefully combined with a touch of vintage and cottage style, producing such a timeless design that it will last for centuries. The cobblestone house’s spacious living area with its azure-coloured shutters stretches over two floors. On the lower floor, you’ll find the cosy living room with fireplace, topped off by a grand piano. And of course, it’s not without a snug TV corner. The neighbouring room, with access to one of the terraces, is a truly enchanting fully-equipped, country house style kitchen in sky-blue, combined brilliantly with natural wooden furniture. Two bathrooms (one of which is en-suite to the neighbouring bedroom) is found on the ground floor, whilst the third is on the first floor along with the three cosy bedrooms, one of which has twin beds.

After a rejuvenating sleep, the day begins with a carefree breakfast whilst planning out your day. Spending time in the garden or pool is certainly a great way to recover at “La Calderera”. However, the surrounding resorts are also an attractive option, as the property is near a country road opening up the southern part of the island. The road itself can sometimes be heard depending on wind direction. Felanitx and Manacor can be reached in no time. This is the perfect location for not only shopping, but also for cultural excursions. Or perhaps you might wander to the Sant Salvador cloisters, enthroned atop a mountain near Felanitx, one of the island’s landmarks. Even through the pool is amazing, the so-called Calas de Mallorca with their at times rugged rock formations and fine sandy beaches, perfect for swimming, will – like everything else – truly amaze you.
