Enjoy your own little piece of paradise in Maya Beach. Very private, two bungalows (green and blue) on the beach, designed to capture the refreshing sea breeze. The bungalows are self-accommodating, and provide you with everything you need. Each bungalow has a queen size bed, full size sleeper sofa, hammock, covered front deck, and well-equipped kitchen. We offer 2 single person sea kayaks, WiFi, and charcoal BBQ.
If you are looking to get away from the crowds, Barnacle Bill's "On the Beach" is the place for you. We are located in Maya Beach on the Placencia Peninsula, Stann Creek District, which is 8 miles north of the Placencia Village and 6 miles north of the Placencia airstrip.
The bungalows don't have TV's, but who needs a TV when you have a wonderful beach and ocean right out your front door. Lots of birds and wildlife to enjoy and the ability to walk out your front door and snorkel off the shore with coral heads located about 50 feet out. Kayak out to False Caye to view more sea life, walk down the beach to local bars and restaurants or just lay in your hammock on the deck and rejuvenate.
Your fully screened-louvered bungalow is cooled by the sea breeze and two ceiling fans.
The bungalow will accommodate a maximum of 3 people. The kitchens are equipped with full size fridge, 2 burner electric stove, coffee maker, microwave, cooking utensils, blender, and other amenities to make your stay more comfortable.
There are several different ways to get to Barnacle Bill’s. You can either fly from Belize International (BZE) to Placencia (PLJ) on either Maya Island or Tropic Air. If you want to see the country and drive through the jungle mountains, rent a car in Belize City and drive down (it’s a 3 ½ hour drive) you wont be sorry. Rent a discount shuttle to drive you down, or take a bus. You can also rent a car once you get here but you will miss the beautiful country drive.
