Our custom-designed waterfront villa is located on the beautiful Placencia Peninsula in the Maya Beach community. The villa sits on the water’s edge to maximize the views across the lagoon to the Maya Mountains. Whether you cool off in the private pool or take advantage of the many outdoor verandas and decks you will have a front-row seat to nature’s beauty. The villa will provide a space for connection, relaxation, and views of the best sunsets around. The villa is located on a private residential street in the Maya Beach community and a short 300 yards from the blue waters of the Caribbean. Maya Beach is only 6 miles from the vibrant Placencia Village and jumping-off point for many of the fantastic excursions Belize has to offer.

The beautiful Placencia Peninsula is known for its stunning beaches, delicious restaurants, and access to the Caribbean and jungle activities. The Maya Beach community is home to world-class restaurants and spas, shops, a bowling alley, and a brand new 18 hole mini-golf course.

Placencia is bursting with adventure. You can spend hours relaxing on the beach or at a poolside bar, go snorkeling or scuba diving at Laughing Bird Caye, see the howler monkeys at Monkey River, explore the Maya Temple sites, go fishing near the reefs, and explore Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world’s only jaguar preserve. Belize has so much to offer and we would love to host you at Ophelia’s Villa as your base for exploring the country

Why Ophelia’s Villa is Special
Step into your new favorite place to call home! Come enjoy the beauty and wonder of Belize in a luxury custom-designed private villa. This villa will transport you to a place of serenity and allow you to settle in and feel at home before you go out and explore all that Belize has to offer.

The private 3 bedrooms 2.5 bath villa consists of a private pool, an outdoor shower with separate toilet/washbasin, a large pool deck with outdoor lounges, a charcoal grill, 2 covered verandas with sofas, lights, and fans, as well as a covered rooftop terrace. We also offer hammocks, giant Jenga, and a regulation-size horseshoe pit to enhance your outdoor living time.

The modern chef kitchen was designed to maximize water views and provide a top-notch space for creating delicious meals. It features stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and wine refrigerator. We provide all the kitchen utensils/cookware as well as a drip coffee pot and coffee grinder.

Sleeping arrangements consist of a waterfront bedroom with a queen bed, en-suite bathroom, semi-private veranda. Another queen bedroom provides peek-a-boo water views and local art highlighting the Caribbean. The 3rd bedroom features 2 sets of twin bunk beds (4 single beds). Please note the bunk beds CANNOT be pulled together to make larger beds. An additional twin murphy bed is offered in the living area. Please let us know if you need a crib, pack-n-play, and/or baby high chair.

The decor adds to the charm and elegance of the villa and features customed designed furniture using local wood. You will find beautiful paintings throughout the house highlighting the work of local Belizean artists. The three levels of this well-decorated villa include a long list of comforts and amenities.

The Placencia Lagoon is at your front door for exploration in the complimentary kayaks. We frequently have sightings of manatees, stingrays, tarpon, dolphins, and many species of birds. The beaches of Belize are public and we have beach parks a short 5-10 minute walk from the villa. You can also drive to Placencia Village to explore the beaches, shopping, dining, and produce stands.

Please be aware the villa has lots of stairs and railings. The pool area is NOT gated and guests have unobstructed access to the Placencia Lagoon. These areas pose risk to unattended small children and non-swimmers. The villa is unsuitable for elderly or infirm and is wheelchair inaccessible.
