Description

You do not have to be an out-and-out romantic to fall in love with the completely modernised yet traditional villa "Son Amoyana" - it will win you over all by itself. The renovated quarry-stone house is situated in a perfect, idyllic location on a large estate surrounded by lush gardens. You will be captivated by the remarkably unobstructed view across the gently rolling coastal region with the Serra de Llevant mountains on the horizon, and the year-round natural green surroundings. The wonderful garden also encloses a large private pool with gentle stepped access, exclusively for your use. Four chic poly-rattan loungers and several sunshades ensure relaxation while you sunbathe. A low ornamental stone wall divides the wrap-around pool terrace from the house veranda, which is accessed via a few steps. The whole picture is one of total harmony and unity between house and garden. Next to the building there are shady areas with a stout table and classic wicker chairs where your happy party can enjoy the food you have prepared on the brick-built BBQ with oven. In fact, there are two built-in BBQs here: one to the right of the entrance, where you will also find a second covered dining area with outdoor shower nearby; the other one next to the pool. Next to that, a poly-rattan lounge entices you to enjoy your morning coffee or evening sundowner. The variety of seating areas and idyllic garden make this fabulous villa perfect for families or couples holidaying together, who still place some value on a certain privacy essential for a harmonious holiday.

Thanks to its complete modernisation and refurbishment in 2015, this traditional Mallorcan estate offers contemporary accommodation to meet your highest expectations. The interior design is a successful blend of minimalist clarity and modern rustic, resulting in a delightful symbiosis with a total feel-good effect. On the ground floor you will find the communal areas, with living room and open-plan kitchen with chic counter. The living room offers leather upholstered furniture, a fireplace set into the wall and large LCD-screen TV. Exposed quarry-stone walls provide an interesting contrast to the brilliant white walls. The slightly offset dining area with circular table then leads into the trendy country-house kitchen with every imaginable technical convenience to enhance your self-catering experience. Three of the four bedrooms are located on the ground floor, and are tiled with the same terracotta-coloured floor tiles as the living room and the kitchen. But the pièce de résistance is not the large double beds (all 1.8 x 2 m) or the ample storage space for your holiday wardrobe, or the exposed beams, but the ultra chic en-suite bathrooms in every bedroom. You only need to look at the wide, walk-in showers, wooden washstands and the high-quality lighting to know this is relaxation at its most luxurious. But of all these outstanding bathrooms, one stands out even more: the one with exclusive Jacuzzi for two. The fourth bedroom is on the upper floor, accessible via the staircase in the living area. The outstanding design of this interior gives the impression of a luxurious hotel room inside a rural villa far from mass tourism.

The medieval town of Capdepera, just a few minutes' drive away, still retains all of its original charm. You will see this old hill town built with bright sandstone houses in its best light during the weekly market on Wednesdays. Stroll through the narrow streets and climb up to Capdepera castle, which will reward you with beautiful views of the sea and the famous seaside resort of Cala Ratjada. The villa is close to the road leading along the coast to Cala Ratjada (some traffic noise may be audible, depending on wind direction), making this exuberant coastal town easy to reach. Shops, cool bars and great restaurants with harbour views are all on offer here. The medieval town of Artà, located a little further inland, also has much to set it apart from the new tourist areas along the coast. It has numerous attractive shops and small brasseries to visit as you stroll through the pedestrian zone. Even in Winter, the wide variety of shops and restaurants in all these towns still see a lot of activity, making a booking in low season extremely attractive. We also recommend visiting the "Parc Natural", northeast of Artà. It is one of Mallorca's largest conservation areas, connecting the Serra de Llevant mountains with fabulous beaches, cliffs, and coves on the coast. The park has been developed in recent years into an accessible paradise for walkers. By the way: the owners of the villa live on a completely separate estate nearby, so that you can enjoy absolute maximum privacy as a guest here. We wholeheartedly recommend the villa "Son Amoyana".
