Cascina Bricchetto Langhe, a hamlet of traditional Le Langhe stone farmhouses, can be found at Trezzo Tinella (Cn) about 10 Km from Alba and 3 km Barbaresco. The farmhouse, possibily the oldest in the area, is situated at an altitude of 550m at the top of a peaceful remote hill surrounded by vineyards and hazelnut groves as far as the eye can see. Two of the houses have recently been renovated to a very high luxury standard maintaining many original features and using natural and local materials. They are furnished with both antique and modern furniture and have the advantage that being built in stone which are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They are completely independent of one another.
Since 2008 the accommodation has held a prestigious certificate of quality given by Ospitalita Italiana.
The views are extraordinary; a sequence of hills overlooked by Monviso and the Monte Rosa massif.

The pergola is traditionally made of chestnut poles and canes and gives a pleasant shady spot for enjoying the extraordinary views and tasting the various grape varieties when in season
On the ground floor there is a small entrance hall leading to an open plan kitchen/ living room /dining room with comfortable sofas . The kitchen is very well equipped for the amateur or gourmet chef. There is also one double bedroom and bathroom with a shower.
On the first floor reached by a beautiful solid wooden spiral staircase, a real work of art, there are two further wooden floored double bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms. Each bedroom has a balcony with a splendid view of the surrounding hills and the Alps dominated by Monviso. The bathrooms are supplied with soap, shampoo and hairdryer.
If you need more room or this property is already booked please contact us about renting our smaller house in the hamlet called Ca der Forn (the Bread Oven House).

Your host also lives in the hamlet and on request will supply in your accommodation a delicious breakfast consisting of homemade cakes and jams prepared using old and genuine recipes.
In the grounds of Cascina Bricchetto you will find a covered area for eating al fresco, a covered parking area and various toys for the children e.g. swings, sandpit, rocking horse, skittles. From the house you can take many quiet country walks along the small country lanes.
Only a few kilometers away you can discover the historical towns of Asti (renowned for the September Palio), Alba ( a medieval town full of towers and arcades, famous for the truffle fairs in October), Bra ( home to the Slow Food movement) and Cherasco; not forgetting the various wine castles of Barolo, Grinzane Cavour, Magliano Alfieri, Govone etc.
The beautiful city of Turin, which is full of museums, ancient buildings and historic cafes, is located about 70 km away and can be reached by train from the railway station of Asti.
The sea and the coast of Liguria are about 100 km.
The area is excellent for activities such as hiking, horse riding, tennis, golf, swimming, visits to museums and concerts. In the summer the area is alive with local festivals based on food and wine. The area is renowned for its food – specialties include truffles, chocolate, hazelnuts. Visits to local wineries or to small producers of cheese, salami or sweet delicacies can be arranged on request.
