If the wonderful villa "Son Sans" is a representation of country life in southern Mallorca, then even staunch urbanites probably won't want to leave again. The ground-level natural-stone house is simply too beautiful: It is situated on a huge estate, covered with palm trees that rise into the blue sky, many typical Mediterranean plants, and lovingly cultivated cacti which can also be found around the spacious terrace areas – including a small roof terrace on a little tower. There are charming retreats everywhere, a pretty seating corner here, a little path for a stroll there – everything has been arranged with a trained eye for details, from the mosaic stones surrounding the flower bed through to the inviting hammock in the round arch. Another highlight is undoubtedly the large pool, around which comfortable sun loungers and shade-providing umbrellas are arranged like a long dining table for cosy evenings under the open sky.

The villa boasts an almost enchanted feel inside. Everything is wonderfully bright and cosily furnished – and also very tasteful and individual. Many windows let the light in and open up fantastic views both into the garden and into the romantic courtyard of the property. The living and dining area as well as the kitchen are accommodated in a large, elongated room in an open-plan design. In the living room, you'll find several cosy sofas and armchairs – where you can either relax and watch TV or play the piano by the crackling fire. Just like the kitchen with its wide counter and extra table, the dining area has a rustic look: Warm wood and comfortable wicker chairs invite you to sit together and have a feast. If you can't keep your eyes open any longer, you can head into one of the five enchanting double bedrooms, each of which can be accessed separately from the outside. 2 of them are directly in front of the pool. Every room also features a chic en-suite bathroom.

You have chosen a holiday home that you theoretically only need to leave to shop for groceries. The garden and estate are simply beautiful, and the surrounding landscape is also perfect for long walks, hikes, and cycling tours. Nonetheless, you shouldn't miss out on an excursion to Santanyí, which is just 3 km away. Framed by almond tree groves and agricultural farmland, the small town features pretty sandstone houses with light blue window shutters and is definitely worth seeing. In the centre, you will find many small, original shops to browse through, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays you can shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, and sausage specialities as well as fashion and handicrafts. The beach of Cala Santanyí, which has a good infrastructure, is 8 km away, as are the equally beautiful beaches of Cala Mondragó and Cala Llombards.
