Description

Slip into the skin of a big landowner, open the wide wing doors of the beautiful home, take a leisurely stroll through the plot, inspect the orange tree plantation, and enjoy a morning café con leche on the large terrace. Does that sound interesting? If yes, then it's definitely worth a second look, as this more than 100- year-old villa "S'Erisal" is the perfect place for such role-playing. The abundance of this property can definitely take your breath away now and again, probably already while driving along the long palm tree alley that leads to the house. On the largest part of the natural and well-kept plot, fresh-air fiends won't get bored, as there is so much to explore and discover. The spacious terrace directly next to the house will probably be one of the main places you'll spend time in.
It is slightly raised and exudes an enchanting charm with its beautiful old floor panels and the cleverly installed sun roof. Comfortable rattan furniture for extensive relaxation just like the round dining table; another seating place around the corner invites you to a relaxing retreat under the old and gnarled olive tree. The pool was only built in 2015.
It's 10 m long and tiled with green luminous mosaics. Stairs ensure a safe and comfortable entrance into its basin filled with salt water - wonderful refreshment on warm days is guaranteed! The comfortable sun loungers next to a sunshade and small tables provide ample opportunity to spend hours chilling with a refreshing cold beverage and a view over the mountains of Tramuntana (the pool is closed from November until end of March).

You enter the house through the wrap-around terrace, from where your first "stop-over" is a small entrance porch, the character of which is determined by a lot of natural stone on the walls as well as river pebbles on the ground. The stairs to the upper floor are decorated with typical Mallorcan flower tiles - a magical contrast to the ancient stone walls! From here, you can directly enter the large living room with fireplace, TV and its own access to the terrace. You can also move freely between outdoor and indoor and always choose the best lounger or seating area. Right next door, you will find the generously-sized, modern and fully equipped kitchen with a dining table - perhaps on cool days you'll want to light the fireplace and conjure up comfort and cosiness. A real eye-catcher here is the high china cabinet, in which colourful, decorative wall plates glitter prettily. Practical tip: there is access to the terrace from this point as well. Two bedrooms that share a bathroom with shower are also located on this floor. On the upper floor, there are two additional bedrooms, which share a bath with tub. The interior of the villa impresses as a whole especially by its excellent combination of old, restored furniture and modern elements and surfaces, such as those found in the kitchen and the bathrooms. The thick walls of the building create a balancing climate, especially during the summer, so that it stays pleasantly cool even on hot days.

Alaró is situated on the eastern edge of the mountains of Tramuntana. The mountain chain with its wild natural areas forms an impressive contrast to the green valley surrounding Alaró. The little town itself is really inconspicuous with no well-known sights. However, its charming rural surroundings are a great starting point for wonderful hiking tours. At an altitude of 825 metres, half of the island of Mallorca will be at your feet! The village of Santa Maria del Cami with its weekly market is just quarter of an hour away by car. This is where you can buy fresh regional delicacies or visit a bar or a restaurant. You can also take a tour to Bunyola's Moorish gardens, the Jardines de Alfabia (28 km) and then the Red Lightning, the almost 100-year old nostalgic narrow-gauge railway, to Sóller.
