Description

The outdoor south-facing setting really is the crowning glory of this abode, with an abundance of scattered seating stretched across the tree-lined tiered terraces each offering a slightly different slant on the seascape below. The plummeting mountain of Punta Penna's peninsula define the landscape and nature lovers need not venture far to find forested footpaths meandering into secluded spots where one might meet shyly roaming Coturnix quails or native black woodpeckers making their mark on the ancient trees. This villa is set near Nerano and eludes the tourist trap of its more northerly counterparts, whilst the pebbly beach of Cantone di Nerano is perfect for a slice of peace and tranquillity just 10 minutes by foot, set beside an ancient fishing village hosting illustrious-types on a voyage from nearby Capri who consider this a prime dining spot for sampling local cuisine in these renowned Michelin-starred restaurants. A quaint minimarket is conveniently just 1km from the villa front door whilst those wishing to access something more substantial will find a supermarket 6km down the road. One of the best ways to get around and explore the region is by well-known SITA bus which navigates the serpentine-like coastal roads from Nerano up to Sorrento where the train line starts for trips further afield such as Naples or Pompeii. One of the highlights closer to the accommodation is easy access to Capri by one of the many boat operators in this region. At night, there's no better place to be than sitting on the terrace watching the twinkle of the navigation lights from vessels on the horizon go about their voyage whilst sipping a local wine and enjoying food fresh off your own BBQ.
