Description

Nestled in the beautiful woodland of Egton just five miles from Whitby, Simon Howe Lodge is a luxury bespoke lodge sleeping up to four guests, located on a private caravan park. Set in a tranquil park, the dog friendly lodge is the perfect escape for all of the family to enjoy. With two bedrooms, two private bathrooms and a stunning open plan kitchen, living and dining area, Simon Howe Lodge is the perfect base when exploring the North Yorkshire coast.

The Space:

You’ll find a bright and spacious feel throughout Simon Howe Lodge. With an exposed apex ceiling and large windows, the open plan living, kitchen and dining room is certainly impressive. The perfect place to unwind on an evening, you can fire up the log burner, turn on the flat screen TV and relax on the comfy leather sofa. Open the patio doors and you’ll find a terrace area with outdoor seating so you can relax outside during your stay.

Ultra modern, the kitchen cabinets are matte grey with high gloss worktops. Fully equipped, you can make the most of your self-catering stay and prepare home cooked meals easily.

Simon Howe Lodge boasts two stylish bedrooms on the ground floor. The master bedroom benefits from a comfy king size bed and an ensuite shower room. Ideal for families, the second bedroom is a twin. Both rooms have plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have the best night sleep possible. The family bathroom is also located on the ground floor and has a bathtub, shower, WC and basin.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are at the reception of the Lodge Park.

We welcome one well behaved dog per stay only. Unfortunately the park does not allow Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Rottweilers, Akitas, Alsatians, Huskies, American Bulldog, Dobermans or Mastiff.

Dogs must be kept on their leads throughout the caravan park at all times, there is a field for exercising dogs off the lead.

There is private parking available to the front of the lodge for up to 2 cars.

Interaction with Guests:

We’re always available for our guests so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The Neighborhood:

If you’re looking for a relaxing break, you’ll get the best of both worlds when staying at Egton. This quaint village is perfect for walks and picnics. Head to Egton Bridge, Arncliffe Woods or the river where you can head over small stepping stones to the wooded island. If you’re looking to eat out or enjoy a quiet drink, there are two public houses in Egton - the Wheatsheaf and the Horseshoe.

Egton is located just six miles from the seaside town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Popular for its Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade, the whole family can enjoy a day on the golden sands. Head to Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.

The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Getting Around:

Egton has great rail and bus links to Whitby. Northern Rail operates a train to Whitby five times per day which is a short 22 minute journey. Whitby train station is in the centre of Whitby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail from here too.

Alternatively, you can hop on the Arriva North East bus service from Egton which travels three times a day.

By car the journey from Egton to Whitby takes approximately 12 minutes along the A171.
