The property went back to the 1700s and was part of a vast family estate owned by a wealthy family from Lucca in the nineteenth century. It has since been wonderfully rebuilt into an attractive Italian vacation home with many Tuscan flavours, from the wood-beamed ceilings to the original tiled flooring.

The living and dining rooms are classic yet beautiful, the Tuscan kitchen is well-equipped, and modern amenities include satellite TV, a music system, and Wi-Fi.

Upstairs are eight air-conditioned bedrooms, most with big double beds, each with its shower room and delightful accents that add to the overall old-world Tuscan feel.

Maid service six days a week and the option of a chef to prepare breakfast and one dinner a day, if desired, are additional features that will make your stay here as memorable as possible.

Outside, ceramic containers packed with citrus trees sit among the lovely summer colours blooming from the rose garden. In contrast, olive trees are sprinkled throughout the expansive grounds surrounding the magnificent swimming pool. Even in the evening, when the pool is attractively lit, the views from the garden and al-fresco dining deck are genuinely stunning.

A few restaurants are within walking distance, as is a nearby village about 2 kilometres away. You may drive a short distance into Lucca, a Tuscan gem rich with some of Italy's best Renaissance and mediaeval buildings.

Florence and Pisa are both close enough for excellent day trips. In addition, there are numerous charming villages and towns to visit, including Collodi, San Miniato, and Montecatini Terme.

Enjoy hiking in the nearby Monte Pisano foothills, horseback riding through the magnificent landscape, or heading to the shore for watersports and more family fun in this engaging and lovely location.
