Description
The Byre is a charming, family and pet friendly 3-bedroom cottage that sleeps up to 5. Situated at Wheel Farm just outside the seaside village of Combe Martin in North Devon, this pretty cottage is the perfect self-catering accommodation for families, with guests able to take advantage of the excellent onsite leisure facilities, including the indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, a tennis court and a children's play area, there is even a designated dog walking/exercise field.
This character two-storey barn conversion is ideal no matter what the season. On the ground floor of the cottage there is a lovely comfy lounge with sofas, a TV with DVD player and a wonderful wood-burning stove. There is also a well-equipped kitchen complete with electric oven and hob, a dishwasher and a fridge; as well as a dining area with table to seat up to five. If needed there is an onsite laundry where guests will find a commercial washing machine and tumble dryer.
On the first floor there are three tastefully decorated bedrooms, these include a double with countryside views and private Juliet balcony, a single and a twin with two 2'6'' single beds. All three bedrooms share the family bathroom, which has a bath with shower overhead, a wash-basin and a WC.
Wheel Farm is perfectly situated just a few miles from the North Devon coast and the amazing sandy beaches at Putsborough, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands just a few miles away. Woolacombe was voted the best beach in the UK in 2016 and offers great surfing all along the 3 mile sandy stretch of beach. Guests will also find more secluded beaches dotted around the gorgeous coastline, as well as some stunning walks, which can be enjoyed using the South West Coast Path.
Exmoor is also only a short drive away and offers walkers miles of uninterrupted walks without seeing a soul, you can even combine your visit with a traditional cream tea in one of the many pretty tea rooms found within the park.
For the children Combe Martin Dinosaur and Wildlife Park and Exmoor Zoo are a few minutes away, as are many other attractions to suit all ages.
Please note The Byre is one of 10 cottages at Wheel Farm. The cottage can be booked either on its own or in conjunction with one or more of the other cottages for large groups or multiple families.
DOG/PET POLICY
One dog/pet is welcome at Byre Cottage. There is an additional charge of £30 per dog per booking. Please notify us at time of booking, and the additional charge will be added to your booking. All payments must be made prior to arrival.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING
Electric car charging is available in the car park. There are additional charges payable on arrival - charged at £30 per week and £20 per long weekend.
