Villa I Girasoli provides more than just a touch of distinctive style and class. These are dotted with a whole variety of mature, shade-giving, native trees and bordered by colourful flowering plants, which also decorate the spectacular pool-terrace below. From here the extensive, unimpeded views over the fertile Val di Chiana (Chiana Valley) farmland are simply unique. The breathtaking garden and pool area are truly out-of-this-world!

Accommodation: the villa is 360 square meters and can accommodate up to 16 persons in 7 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms. It extends on two levels plus a dependance:

Ground floor main villa: a few external stairs under a porch take you up to the elegantly furnished entrance hallway, situated to one side of the house, facing the garden and away from the road. On the left side of the hallway there is the eat in kitchen fully equipped with all modern conveniences.

Continuing along the corridor you can find a bathroom with shower and the dining room with fireplace. A large arched door leads to the large living room with sofas, TV-Sat and a piano with direct access to garden through French doors. A separate smaller sitting room is available for your relaxed moments reading a book.

First floor main villa: from the hallway a staircase proceeds to the first floor. On this level you can find the master double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and a sofa bed in the private sitting area. The other bedrooms are 4 (3 double and 1 twin) sharing 3 bathrooms (2 with bathtub and 1 with shower).

Garden annex (60 sqm): it is located to one side in the back garden, just a few steps away from the main house. It extends only on the ground floor. You enter directly into the sitting area, comprising sofa and TV-Sat. Open-plan from here you access the lovely kitchen. Issuing from the sitting-room is a bathroom with shower, a large double bedroom and a smaller twin bedroom.

Central heating and Wi-Fi throughout. The windows all have mosquito-blinds.

Garden and swimming pool: lemon trees in large ceramic pots line the pathway to the back garden where a spacious, manicured lawn is shaded by the leafy canopies of magnificent trees. In one secluded garden corner hangs a hammock, in another are arranged a little table and some chairs.

Proceeding down to the far end, you will find the pizza-oven and barbeque, sheltered under a loggia. Next to this, on a raised, tiled terrace, is a lovely, wrought-iron-framed gazebo equipped with table and chairs to eat outside whilst enjoying idyllic, uninterrupted views over the fields of the Chiana Valley. On the opposite horizon, the medieval hilltop town of Montepulciano is also visible.

Wooden steps now beckon you down to the lower grass pool-terrace. The tiled pool (14 x 6 meters, 1.5 deep) surround is equipped with sun loungers and sunshades and a little outbuilding houses changing-room, shower and toilet facilities, as well as a fitness-room. A separate, small Jacuzzi pool is located next to the main pool. Garden lights serve to illuminate the grounds and poolside area at night, if required.

Location: Villa I Girasoli is located between Cortona and Montepulciano as well as with easy reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. The nearest airport is Florence (about an hour and a half). Pisa is about two hours and Rome airports both about two and a half hours away.

The nearest village is Chianacce 3.5 km. Cortona, which is a large town boasting wonderful art and architecture as well as all modern services is 20 km.
