Description

Holidays operate on a different time frame – the slower pace and the time spent with family and friends helps you get some distance from the stresses of everyday life. In a rural region largely unspoiled by the tourism industry, unanswered questions are sometimes solved simply by discussing them in a relaxed atmosphere with friends or family. The villa "Sa Terra Grosa" is a property that's the perfect base for this kind of relaxing holiday, and because it's located amidst a beautiful landscape with rolling hills, it has even more to offer. Situated on the outskirts of Binissalem, the ivory-coloured villa is surrounded by an orchard and huge palm trees. You will love spending your time on the spacious, covered terraces and on the sun-drenched rooftop. The country house offers a pleasant private space on a secluded estate, and you can almost jump right into the pool from the veranda and enjoy the cool water – au naturel, if you like. Afterwards, you can sunbathe on the stylish sun loungers (also in the shade of the parasol, if you need to). If a daily BBQ is part and parcel of a successful holiday, you're going to be thrilled with the built-in, covered BBQ. It's conveniently located right at one end of a high-quality synthetic rattan dining set, where you can serve up the food. If it gets a bit cooler or bedtime is approaching, you'll leave this thoroughly relaxing area behind and retreat into your inviting holiday home.

The interior of the rustic building has undergone a face-lift that combines the traditional attributes of Mallorcan design with a contemporary country-house style – and you can rightfully say this combination has worked. The large living room alone is enough to make an impression, with its harmonious colour palette, high-quality wooden fixtures, dark ceramic tiles, walls in light, subtle colours, and some decorative details in a homely moss green that's echoed in the textiles and hanging pictures. The choice of colours expresses the closeness and connection to nature – and if you love fireplaces, the open fireplace in the middle of the room fits perfectly into the picture. The adjoining, rustic country kitchen dazzles with its authentic farmhouse charm whilst at the same time featuring all the technological conveniences for an easygoing self-catering holiday. The way the rooms are laid out is also ideal for two families with a total of up to eight people. There are two air-conditioned double bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub on each floor. The kids will have their own domain in the two rooms with single beds; the two queen-size beds are ideal as a comfortable parent's bedroom. As the upper floor also has a small living area with two sofas, it's almost as if you have two separate accommodations – wonderful for a multi-generational holiday. Not to forget, thanks to the central heating and the cosy crackling fireplace, "Sa Terra Grosa" does not lose any of its special charm in the cooler months of the year.

If you love wine and want to go on a trip through the world of Mallorcan oenology during your holidays, you've found the perfect place at the lovely villa "Sa Terra Grosa". Binissalem is located in the fertile heart of the island, the Plà de Mallorca. It is characterised by orange, almond, and wine production, at the foot of the majestic Tramuntana range. So it's hardly surprising that you can have a taste directly at the producers' bodegas and wine cellars all year round. The villa is located somewhat outside the village in a lightly populated area. The proximity to the road, which you'll only be able to hear if the wind conditions are just right, means you'll be able to easily follow the Mallorcan wine route. In the evening, when you return from the day trips, you'll be able to enjoy the full flavour of the Crianza you've brought out with you whilst seated at the distinctly comfortable lounge set, overlooking the relaxing landscape. From the bottom of our hearts we join in a happy "salud" to this wonderful Finca.
