Description

Mount Pelion, the homeland of the Centaurs in Greek mythology, is also home to the luxurious and stylish Villa Peleus Sea. This beautiful three-bedroom villa set in the picturesque village of Kato Gatzea combines traditional Pelion architecture with natural materials and elegant design. Featuring incredible sea views, a beautiful outdoor dining area, and a private pool, Villa Peleus Sea accommodates up to 6 guests in a peaceful and sophisticated contemporary setting.

The ground floor has a spacious open plan layout that includes the living, dining and kitchen areas. This light and airy space has large patio doors dressed with white voiles, allowing in plenty of light and showcasing those idyllic views, and is decorated in neutral shades of cream and white with accents of soft grey. The floors are made with natural African wood, and they perfectly complement the chunky wooden furniture and well-crafted fixtures and fittings. The sofa and armchair are soft and deep, light in colour, and rustic in design, which adds to the natural feel of the villa. Wall-mounted mirrors framed in polished driftwood, and the subtle tones of pearl and shell in the ornamental touches all tie into that ‘nature at the beach' theme. There is an energy-efficient fireplace with digitally controlled temperature, with firewood supplied during the winter months, and there are silent air conditioning units throughout for your comfort during the summer. Other modern touches include Smart TV and Blue Ray player, with radio and MP3's, which takes care of your entertainment needs.

The kitchen area is well-equipped and features beautifully patterned Greek-style tiles, white units, and solid wooden counters which ensures there are plenty of spaces to prepare food. There are all modern facilities, including electric oven and hob, sandwich maker, toaster, fridge-freezer, and coffee making machines. There is also a utility room on the ground floor which houses the washing machine and vacuum cleaner, as well as the iron and ironing board.

Villa Peleus Sea is a three-bedroom property, comprising of a double room with en-suite on the ground floor, and another on the first floor, as well as a twin, which could be converted into a king-size if needed. Each room is decorated in the same neutral palette and features lots of handsomely crafted wooden furniture, and gorgeous hardwood flooring. The bedrooms on the first floor have private balconies, offering guests the perfect place to enjoy a morning cuppa and take in the stunning panoramic views. The villa's bathrooms are just as exquisitely decorated as the rest of the rooms, with stunning patterned tiles in shades of black, white and grey, beautiful stone-carved basins, and modern shower facilities.

The grounds of the villa are enclosed by a low stone wall and feature modern decking, dining area and sun loungers, outdoor shower and, of course, private pool. The pool is entered by wide steps that enter at the shallow end, but it should be noted that there is no handrail. Guests at Villa Pelius Sea also benefit from a gas bbq, perfect for an alfresco family meal, ideally enjoyed as the sun is setting over the Aegean.

There are a few cafes around the port, as well as a bakery and mini market, ideal for any last-minute bits of shopping you might need. The Magnesia region is an area rich in history, mythology and cultural traditions, the capital Volos is one of the largest and most attractive cities in Greece, as well as being one of the country's most prominent ports. Here visitors can enjoy a plethora of museums and architectural wonders, as well as head to one of the many tavernas offering fresh local fare.

Pelion is famous for its beaches, and you might even have seen one without even knowing it; the movie Mamma Mia shot some scenes here from Damouchari beach, known for its relaxing green surroundings and large pebbled areas. For unparalleled beauty and golden sands, Mylopotamos is the ideal beach destination.
