Vill Mantequilla is a 12 person villa set in a stunning country location on the edge of Alora town but nestled in a private and tranquil area offering 360 degree views of the sierras, mountains and the Guadalhorce valle.
Totally renovated and refurnished in Jan 2020 the accommodation offers modern living in a characterful property. Originally the house was constructed in 2012 by the past owner taking influences from his Moroccan wife which is still evident in the property with decorative Tadelakt plasterwork and Hamman showers in the pool area.
Set over 2 levels the layout works great for families, friends and groups coming together to socialise and create lasting Andalusian memories.
The upper level consists of a 4 bedroomed villa. With a huge open plan lounge, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. With lots of natural sunlight and all windows making the most of the amazing valley views across to the sierra horizon. From the lounge there is direct access to a large private terrace. Perfect to capture the full view of the sun rising over the sierras in the mornings and for the evening a cocktail to maximise the seating area and shaded zone.
The whole upper floor has ducted air conditioning throughout with climate control for summer coolness and a wood burning fire for the cooler months.
The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern appliances including an American fridge freezer, dishwasher oven and hob.
The master suite offers a huge bedroom space with a dressing room and a full bathroom with walk-in shower and bath tub. From this bedroom there is also a French door access to the private terrace. A super king bed for sheer comfort and a desk/dressing table for those needing to maintain work when on vacation. Wifi internet is available throughtout the villa.
There are a further 3 bedrooms, two offering double beds and the third a twin bedded room with two further bathrooms.
From the upper level you have direct access to the pool area.
The salt water pool has a shallow area at one end and steps to access the pool. The depth is maintained throughout offering the ability to play sports such as volleyball and stand throughout the full length of the pool.
There are sunloungers and shaded areas around the pool to take full advantage of the sunshine. The outdoor kitchen is also in this area. Cooking facilities in the outdoor kitchen include an electric hob, gas oven, pizza oven and charcoal bbq. Also a fridge freezer to store those all important drinks for poolside.
The enormous table in this area seats 16 .
Some of the most amazing views are from the poolside area. To the west the sierras of Huma and abdalajis. To the north Malaga montes and directly behind the villa Mount El Hacho. The house is located in a region where today you can still find the evidence of roman ruins and Arabic influences from many years previous.
The lower level of the villa accessed by pathway so no stairs to negotiate consists of the two apartments and underground garage. In the garage there is parking for a car and a fully equipped gym, perfect for maintaining your training routine when here on holiday. Also in the garage is the laundry room with washing machine facilities.
Each apartment, Arias and Pascual, are two bedroomed and fully self contained.
Each apartment offering one bedroom with a double bed and a further twin bedded bedroom.
The open plan layout provides lounge, dining area and kitchen. In each of the kitchen areas you have also a washing machine and each apartment has a bathroom with walk in showers.
Apartments have air conditioning in the lounges and bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Private patios with dining areas can be found at each of the apartments.
Access to the grounds and property is via automated electric gates with automatic evening lighting for the grounds and entrance.
The villa is located 1,2kms from the centre of Alora town.
The town has lots to offer with bars, restaurants and shops. The train station located at the bottom of the town has direct trains to Malaga virtually evey hour. These trains link also with a costal train which covers many of the coastal towns of the costa del sol.
Malaga is an historical city blending the old with the new offering everything for the modern day traveller. With some world recognised restaurants and chefs and traditional eateries steeped in history. Museums with constantly changing exhibitions such as the famous Picasso museum in close proximity to the plaza where he was born. The car journey to malaga is approx. 35 mins from the villa and the nearest beach of Alamo is also the same distance.
The famous walkway of the Caminito Del Rey is a short 20 mins drive from the villa. This is a must do for the adventurous travellers to experience the jaw dropping beauty of the gorge and the thrill seeking dizzy heights of the walkway on the gorge rockface. We recommend you book your tickets in advance as this walkway is very popular and soon to become a UNESCO site which will only increase the volume of visitors.
The turquoise lakes of El chorro/Ardales are 25 mins drive often described as the jewel in the Andalusian crown it is a perfect location for a day trip. Swimming in the lakes with a picnic unlike the beaches of the coast the lakes if visited during the week days are fairly quiet and so peaceful.
Ronda and Marbella are approx. 1 hrs drive from the villa. Ronda renowned for the wine production with many bodegas to visit and sample the wines. Marbella for that designer feel. With designer boutiques and a marina in Puerto Banus that houses some of the most expensive yachts in the world.
