Designed as a split-level residence, the villa is well suited to two families travelling together, or two generations where you can each enjoy a little extra privacy.
The ground floor boasts a large open plan living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with doors to the pool terrace and a guest toilet for convenience. On the first floor there are two queen-size bedrooms that share a family shower room, as well as the master bedroom which enjoys its own private en-suite. The lower ground floor has its own separate entrance, offering a second living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a luxurious hot tub and a queen size bedroom. Finished with natural materials, like marble, granite, wood and stone, each room has a warm ambience, combining luxury and functionality to create impeccable living spaces.
Outside, Villa Mononautis becomes one of the most idyllic spots in Crete. The views are truly spectacular, stretching out in every direction, so wherever you look there is a new delight. From luscious mountains to the sparkling ocean, it is hard to ever look away! There are two fabulous outdoor swimming pools, one for adults and a smaller one for children. Villa Mononautis is located on top of a beautiful hill in Agia Pelagia, Heraklion, Crete. With views stretching around the entire villa of both mountains and sea, this truly is one of the best spots on the island! Situated 2500 metres above the Agia Pelagia bay, the villa benefits from complete privacy, so you can enjoy peace and quiet together with your loved ones.
Although the villa is completely private, it is still only a short drive to the amenities of Agia Pelagia and an array of beautiful beaches. In fact, Agia Pelagia offers just about everything you might need on your holiday, with supermarkets, a pharmacy and a doctor's office, car and bike rentals, tourism and sightseeing offices, an internet cafe and several ATMs.
Of course, no trip to Crete would be complete without visiting the islands breath-taking beaches. Lygaria, Agia Pelagia, Made, Mononautis, Psaromoura and more beautiful shores can all be reached within a 5-10 minute drive. The beach at Agia Pelagia is filled with deck chairs, and proves popular for jet skiing and scuba diving, perfect for the most adventurous among you. From sand to pebbles, we are sure you will soon pick your favourite beach, although, with so many to choose from, you can visit a different one each day!
Heraklion, the capital of Crete can be found less than 30-minutes away by car. There are plenty of things to see and do in the city, from the fascinating Palace of Knossos, an archaeological site dating back thousands of years to the Minoan civilisation, to the picturesque Venetian port, a 16th-century Koules fortress found on the outskirts of the city. The streets are lined by boutique shops and a fantastic choice of restaurants, as well as a lively nightlife.
The area truly offers something for everyone, for golfers there is a modern course not far away, beach goers will find plenty of shores for sunbathing and swimming, and food lovers will have their taste buds satisfied with the array of local flavours. Olive oil, honey and herbs are choice ingredients in Crete, and you can expect some of the finest food in the Mediterranean!
