Description

Vine Cottage is nestled in the tranquil hamlet of St Martin's. It is a stunning character cottage with two good sized bedrooms and plenty of distinctive features. An extra snug lounge can give a little peace from the more boisterous members of your family, as well as a living room with comfortable seating, a beamed ceiling and a granite fireplace. There is a separate dining room. There is also a conservatory that opens to the beautiful little mature sun trap of a garden. This dog-friendly cottage will provide a wonderful base for your Cornish adventure.



There is a huge amount to do on the Lizard, from exploring the little fishing villages, Porthallow, Cadgwith or Coverack and sampling the local wealth of pubs and restaurants. Glorious clifftop walks, such as The Lizard itself, stunning sandy beaches like Coverack, Pentreath, Kynance Cove (which should be experienced), Poldhu or Loe Bar stretches from Gunwalloe all the way to Porthleven, tourist locations like Flambards, Poldark Mine or Goonhilly. The Helford River is beautiful and is surrounded by five little creeks, the most famous being Frenchman's Creek, the eponymous title by Daphne Du Maurier based on the love affair between an impulsive English lady and a French pirate.



Accommodation

Ground Floor: Small entrance porch opens into living area with comfortable seating and flat-screen TV, dining room with table and chairs, stairs to the first floor. Downstairs family shower room with WC and hand basin. Snug lounge with sofa, chair and a coffee table. Galley kitchen with fully fitted units and appliances. Conservatory with table and chairs and access to the rear garden.

First Floor: Large double bedroom with 5' bed and storage. Zip and link twin bedroom with 3' beds which can be made up as a 6' double, storage.

Exterior: There is a small rear garden with mature trees and shrubs and lawned area. There is a barbecue and off-road parking to the rear.



Facilities & Services

Heating is via an oil central heating system with radiators. The kitchen is well equipped and has an electric oven & hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, combined fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The sitting area has a flatscreen, digital Freeview Smart TV with catchup. Unlimited WiFi is available at the property. There is a cot & a high chair.



Miscellaneous

Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included. There is off-road parking available for one vehicle to the rear and more usually available to the front of the property on the road (Quiet Cornish lane.). One well-behaved dog is permitted at the small additional cost of £30 per dog / per week, but please remember that you cannot leave your dog unattended at the property. No smoking.
