Description

From the moment you arrive, Pentraeth Cottage feels like a home away from home. The cottage sits tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac within the charming village of Pentraeth on the island of Anglesey. With three bedrooms and beautiful living areas, the property can happily host a group of seven guests and offers a brilliant base for families wanting to explore all the delights Anglesey has to offer. Everything about this cottage is designed as such that you can turn up and immediately relax. Well-equipped, comfortable and beautifully decorated, it feels as though it is your own, so you can rock up and settle straight into holiday mode. The living room is cosy and relaxed, with two comfy sofas and a large armchair where you can curl up, light the fire and read your book or settle in together to watch a movie in the evening. Across the hall, there is a lovely open plan kitchen and dining room, with beautiful views across the garden and ample space to spend time together as a family. The dining table has built in bench seating, that creates this sense of intimacy around a meal, so you can focus on what is most important; each other. With all the bedrooms on one floor, no one ever strays far. There are two double rooms and one room with three bunks, which is well suited to kids and younger guests. Light and airy, the bedrooms evoke the same welcoming, modern aesthetic as the rest of the property, so you can fully unwind. From every window in the cottage, you can get a little sneak peek of the mature garden that surrounds it. This luscious outdoor space has room for kids to play, as well as a sheltered terrace for al-fresco dining and drinks. There is off-road parking for two cars, so you can bring your own vehicle and head out to explore the historic sites, beautiful beaches and serene nature reserves that Anglesey has become known for. A cosy, welcoming family home, Pentraeth Cottage offers a welcome retreat, a place to spend time with loved ones and to immerse yourself in the surrounding nature.

The nearby villages of Benllech, Beaumaris and Menai are all worth visiting, as well as some of the lovely beaches in the nearby area. Benllech is one of the most popular of the island's beaches with golden sandy shores and sparkling blue waters which are safe for swimming and paddling. At low tide the beach stretches for miles, offering plenty of space for families to spread out and for kids to run and play. Beaumaris is best known for its imposing castle. The castle is a United Nations World Heritage site, constructed between 1295-1330 to form perfectly symmetrical concentric lines of fortification. There is also a moat and a dock for supply ships. Under a fifteen-minute drive from the cottage, the castle is a must-visit during your stay, as well as taking a wonder around the mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture that fills this charming seaside town.
